This election automatically begins at Lean R given massive Trump win in Ohio, the popular governorship of John Kasich, and the fact that Democrats don't appear to have a strong bench, while Republicans do.

Let's not act like Clinton lost because of poor ground game. The Trump campaign's was virtually nonexistent and disorganized.

Cordray hurt himself by trying to appoint a successor. That was clearly absurd and unconstitutional. IN no universe did he have that authority. Plus he seemed opportunistic.

The leftist tea party (the resistance and indivisible) might use Cordrays general election pivoting to get Kucinich to win the primary, which would make this race Solid R.

Kasich is such a showboat. He doesn't have any real positions.

He just refused to endorse someone because he holds a position.
It's all general posturing for an egotistical presidential run.
