Gerrymandered America (Trump 439, Clinton 99)

The 52-EV behometh swing state that combines all of Pennsylvania, Upstate New York, much of New England, and huge portions of Appalachia was a very close Trump win.  I could have gotten a little bit more with a zoom tool as well.

How do I share an image saved on my computer, again?

Any way to form new states? I messed up on Rhode Island and can't recreate it. I don't want to have to start all over.

I think your maximum is 51 (the 50 plus making DC bigger).  It lets you get rid of states, though they keep 3 EV despite a population of 0.

I'm making an ideal states map right now.  A couple things I am wrestling with that I will take input on:

-Whether to put Orlando and Tampa (plus suburbs) in Likely R Super Georgia or Leans D South Florida
-Whether to put Knoxville in Appalachia or Tennessee
-Whether to put San Antonio in Rio Grande (capital likely El Paso and includes most of New Mexico plus Texas along the Rio Grande to the Gulf) or South Texas (which includes Houston and Austin)

I had been working for a long time on a mega-gerrymander with tons of snake-like states, and, just when I had Hillary down to the mid-40s (confined entirely to parts of the SF Bay Area, LA County, and NYC), I accidentally hit the "see how arbitrary our system is link instead of the move button!  Now, it's all gone!

Something like this?:

Similar, but mine had much less Democratic territory in CA, none in DC, but more in NYC.  I had Washington stretching into the Dallas suburbs to compensate for a ton of liberal cities added to it, for example.

I got a 522-14 map (I killed Massachusetts and couldn't get it back).  Theoretically, it should be possible to get 535-3 once you add LA and Cook County to DC, but some of the counties are too small to click on here.

A 538 R map isn't possible because Clinton won the popular vote. In fact Clinton would have to win at least 7EVs in any map, since you need a state where Clinton won by at least 2.6 million votes in order to give Trump all remaining states. Such a state would have at least 4 million people, which gives it at least 7 EVs.

You can make it the capital territory to get a 535-3 R win.

That map leaves a fair amount on the table, too. E.g., Lake County, IN and nearby into Illinois; Memphis and some other Mississippi valley areas like Baton Rouge into Mississippi; consolidating more of the Black Belt into Georgia/Mississippi/North Carolina.

Theoretically, it should be possible to draw a 538-0 Democratic map.  I was able to get it down to 72 yesterday, but it looked pretty crazy in spots.
