I took lunch in the office today, and I really don't have that much to do ... so I decided to do something KIND OF bank-related and post this!
I looked at the average credit score for each state and divided it by region. Here is how I defined the regions:
NORTHEAST: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and D.C.
SOUTH: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia
MIDWEST: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin
WEST: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming
Here are the rankings for average score by region:
1. Midwest: 685.83
2. Northeast: 677.92
3. West: 676.00
4. South: 657.64
And, since this is Atlas, the average Clinton state score was 677.90, significantly better than the average Trump score of 670.80. Here are the top five:
1.
Minnesota: 707
2.
North Dakota: 700
3.
Wisconsin: 698
4.
South Dakota: 697
5.
Massachusetts: 694
