If we pick the cherries, we can argue that Milton Friedman was left-wing
He was against the independence of the Central Bank He had negative views on the use of too much mathematics in economics since 1980 He though that the microfoundations in macroeconomics were not necessary He didn't believe in the rational expectations He didn't agree with the real business cycles He didn't agree with the Austrian School He supported the legalization of the cannabis sativa He was against the draft in Vietnam
The last two topics are not related to economic science, and many conservative economists agree. But in the other topics, he agrees with leftist economists.
