Not listening to bagpipe music today?

Go to the corner of Frederick and George Streets.  On one side there are a bunch of people in tartan kilts and a big banner that says "God Created One Man and One Woman" and some people standing around with signs quoting the bible and one dude is playing a Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.  On the other side there are a bunch of people with wild hair and facial jewelery and rainbow flags and banners that say "We're Here; We're Queer" and stuff like that.  They're chanting slogans and one guy has a saxophone.

I'm not sure what it's all about.  I can't quite see that intersection from my window so I don't know if they're still there, but they were about an hour ago.

I did see that. So lame. I think a counter-protest has started near the library. I'm currently sitting in the SMC raising money with WIXQ.

hahaha.  I must have walked right past you!  I'm not usually in the SMC but I had business there today.  I saw the table with a few students there and the music blasting and the baked goods on the table.  I don't know what you look like or I'd have said "howdy."

Also in 1954, the Fender Stratocaster was released, and the rest is history. Musical phenoms with nothing but a simple instrument and talent were born.

Diamond Rio - Meet in the Middle

25 years on, still my favorite debut single of all-time.

I'm at work so can't link youtube videos but I've been listening a load to the last Radiohead album  "A Moon Shaped Pool"(actually fits the mood of 2016 really; plus its a very pretty sounding album, if you catch my drift) - I think that it really works well if you listen to the entire thing in order but "Burn the Witch" and "Decks Dark" are especially good and, because everyone needs some loud shouty music to listen to every so often; the latest live Enter Shikari live album (I usually prefer live releases for some reason; when I was bored and unemployed I compiled live versions of every Radiohead album based on the best version of each track I could find - I need to do the same for AMSP but I've not really got the time at the moment) - I used to be in to the sort of hardcore-y stuff when I was in high school but Shikari are really the only thing that remain: I think that its kind of because we've matured together in a way and the latest stuff appeals to me a lot more than their older stuff does now.

Little Big Town - Better Man
Apparently, the song was written by Taylor Swift. What happened to her? She was so lovable back when she used to sing cute country songs.
