What's wrong with the Front Bottoms?

Whining about how girls don't like you and you smoke so much weed got old a very long time ago. Plus Brian Sella's vocals are literal nails on a chalkboard.

I mean, obviously I can't change your mind on his voice, but I find it strange that you think that they have a lot of songs about smoking weed. I can name maybe two(Skeleton from Talon of the Hawk, which isn't about anyone in the band and Historic Cemetery from Back on Top) and then others that reference drug use but that's obviously not the same.

Never heard of 'em. The extent of my knowledge about indie music has a pretty low range. I only listen to a handful of artists a few times a year.

Hah, I bring em up because my friends refer to them as "The Front Bottoms but if they were good." I don't buy the hype tbh, but they might be up your alley.

I'm normally not a fan of screamo, but I haven't stopped playing this album.

This album is pretty good, definitely isn't "screamo" though. Some form of Post-Hardcore sure, but not screamo. Now I'm not just being a pedant here, as I'm generally a fan of "screamo"/"skramz"/whatever you want to call it, I have some recommendations. Go and listen to some bands like Sed Non Satiata, Funeral Diner, the Saddest Landscape and Suis La Rune. Hell, go listen to some I Hate Myself and Indian Summer(err, well, some of their songs at least, in this context at least, all their songs are great) if you like the emotional post-hardcore stuff, but want to know what actual musical "screaming" is.
