It feels like after all the excitement this is a relatively disappointing result for Kurz?

OVP only up 6 v 2013 which was a postwar low.

Black-blue still v strong favourite for new govt though?

On the results page there are county wide and communal wide results even if the Land itself isn't fully counted.

https://wahl17.bmi.gv.at

Click on the states and you see district results (those that are not grey anymore).

As expected, not a good result, but nice to see creepy Kurz underperforming.

Seems like Green collapse is pretty strong everywhere.  Guessing the collapse won't be so bad once the cities come in?

Wohoo !

I found the great clickable APA (Austrian Press Agency) map:

https://static.kurier.at/elections/nr17/index.map.html

On top you can choose between states, districts and cities.

Below the map you can choose to search for a city, choose the party strength map and turnout map.

Thanks!

Is this an exit poll or a projection?

All of these exit polls and results are all over the place...

This a projection based on the current results in. We might expect greens to rise above 4% as Vienna trickles in.

There are no exit polls here. It is a projection based on already counted precincts. The more precincts are counted, the better the projection will get and the margin of error will go down.

A final result without postal ballots can be expected in 2 hours.

It really seems that many center-left voters "thanked" Chancellor Kern today for the economic progress in the past months and placed social issues higher than migrant issues.

The SPÖ overperforms polls by about 2-5% ...

I for one like the fact that the Greens are decimated. They are paying the price for their naivety and smugness over the past 2-3 years.

Urban/Rural divide is huge ...

Urban areas such as Vienna, Graz, Linz, the Rhein-valley in Vorarlberg are all showing increases for the SPÖ, while the rural areas show huge gains for the ÖVP and FPÖ.
