Remember, you know nothing about the Nixon scandals or Watergate.

They did not exist at the time of the 1968 election.

Hubert. Good and capable man, but no enthusiastic vote.

My very first choice would have been LBJ again and after his decline to run enthusiastically for Rocky.

Richard Milhous Nixon (R-California)/Spiro T. Agnew (R-Maryland). Without any reservation and with unreserved hatred for the Humphrey nuts. Cheesy

(That said I think Nixon was cheated out of 1960 too.)

Like Richard Nixon said "It's one thing to give 'em Hell but it's another thing to give 'em Humphrey"

Yup. I also have a soft spot for Dick Nixon. Good President, and a good leader in very tough times.

Nixon/Agnew.  The whole world depends on this; Nixon's very qualified.

Time for Humphrey to go; he cannot lead a divided country. Would vote for Wallace but the racial act kills him on me. He'd be a better President than Humphrey if you take his extremities away.

If you take Stalin's gulags out, he was a pretty good leader of soviet Russia, which he was.

Humphrey. Nixon was odious long before Watergate, even if his presidency does have it's redeeming qualities (the EPA and detente, to name a few).

If it was '72, I'd definitely vote for McGovern, but for '68, it'd be Nixon.
