I mean, every individual Democrat is more likely to *not* be nominated (for either prez or VP) than to be nominated.  So option 3 is obviously the most probable.  Just like it's the most probable for any name you put in there.  And yet, one of these folks is going to be nominated...

Runs for the nom but doesn't get it.  Old, boring White guys who aren't openly calling for the overthrow of the capitalist bourgeois won't do well in a Democratic Party that is run on identity politics.

He might have an outside shot in Iowa, but I think that's Klobuchar/Warren territory.

He is probably losing re-election. I don't see him winning any state bar Ohio in the primary!
