Iowa. Much smaller and less populous state, and Dems only need to flip the first district back. Texas is a behemoth and way more polarized.

Correction: after reading Daily Kos, it seems Trump won all four congressional districts in the state, so Dems would have to flip two districts decisively to win the state. But both districts 1 and 2 supported Obama twice, so you'd think the votes are there if they play their cards right.

Iowa. This is assuming that Democrats focus more on the white working class and rural voters than they did in 2016.

Iowa. As mentioned it's a small state and it also flips to blue way more than Texas. I understand Texas with the demographics and stuff but until Texas a Democratic governor or senator, Texas will stay with the Republicans.

Probably Texas, unless a Sanders-type Democrat gets the nomination.

In 2020, Iowa. Going forwards, I see Texas being more Democratic than Iowa, though Iowa will likely remain very elastic.
