Heinrich/Moulton
Does this ticket seem good to anyone?
We would have Trump/Pence in 2020-a 74 year old Presbyterian and a 61 year old Evangelical Christian running against a 49 year old Lutheran from Nevada (birth state) and a 42 year old Army veteran, Nondenominational Christian from Massachusetts.
Both Heinrich and Moulton are fairly moderate, handsome, Christian democrats.
Does anyone like this ticket?

A perfect ticket. Good, handsome bunch. Would the identity politics crowd like it, though? That's the question.

I don't think Democrats are going to choose non-Senators as their VP.

I don't think Democrats are going to choose non-Senators as their VP.
The last three times that happened were 1984, 1972, and 1936.

I don't know a whole lot about Moulton...

But if ppl criticize Booker for financial ties... Moulton seems to have raised money from Goldman Sacks also (even though I think financial ties are over-played... not everyone does what contributors tell them... esp since usually candidates have contributors with opposing interest... I think this is esp true with many younger members).  Also- not a whole lot of experience.

It wouldn't be identity politics to say Booker & either Castro are just as intelligent, have more experience &  more charisma.

If you wanted a military name with Heinrich... I think someone with creds & resume like General Mark S Martins... is the much better option.  (Although as a member of the Senate Intel & Senate Arms Services Committee... Heinrich isn't really weak in this category).

Also- Chris Van Hollen (who has a sharp command of the issues.. and comes off with a moderate Demeanor)  would be a better option than Moulton.

I wonder if Moulton will run for Governor of MA in 2018.

I took a poll of myself and found that he was the choice of 100% of respondents.

Seriously though, the top results on Google seem to be this forum. Not sure if I've seen a poll with him.

I remember someone on this forum describing him as Hispanic a few years ago which is inaccurate and with a last name like Heinrich you almost wouldn't want to know how he could claim Hispanic heritage.

He is fluent in Spanish... but he's not hispanic to my knowledge.  (although last name is not a good indicator of heritage...as someone could easily have a Spanish mother, etc)
