Unlike fellow 2020ers Booker, Gillibrand, and Warren, Amy Klobuchar will sit on neither the Senate Armed Services Committee nor the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the next Congress, so she has to shore up her foreign policy credentials in other ways.  You may recall back in 2013, when Klobuchar seemed to be flirting with the idea of running for president in 2016, she came out in support of a no-fly zone in Syria:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=174906.0

which got her out in front on Syria, staking out ground that very few other Senate Dems were claiming on the issue.

But she’s also done her share of foreign trips over the years, including a tour of Asia in 2009, which she did with Lindsey Graham and John McCain:

Well, this past week, she’s been back on the road with her pals Graham and McCain, taking a tour of former Soviet republics, and talking tough about Russia:

Sounds good to me. Normally I don't back candidates who are over fifty-five but I am very open to Klobuchar.

Foreign policy may be easy in 2020. If Donald Trump and the GOP Congress push a right-wing agenda of shifting taxes to the non-rich, eviscerating unions, making it safe (for a business) to dump toxic stuff anywhere, outlawing abortion, allowing child labor.... then Democrats can win big in 2020 on economic issues alone.

Trump says the real unemployment rate is 42% - a number he got by dividing the number of those in the workforce by the entire adult population. So, we won't have child labor, but if he wants to get that down, expect to see 90-year-old grandmas, stay-at-home parents, and quadriplegics working the fields after Trump kicks out all the illegal immigrants.
