Clinton was ahead all summer long and the Wikipedia leaks about her emails kept dripping and dripping outward. Until people wanted a fresh start and elected Trump in spite of not releasing his taxes.

And election day expectations among younger voters were apparently not met and more enthusasim from the conservative movement.
