Zinke passes cloture, 67-31, with 1 senator voting present.

That's it for tonight. The senate will resume consideration of the Zinke nomination tomorrow. I will post the full vote list for both votes that took place tonight once it's on the senate website.

Zinke is one of the less-godawful choices, although he's still pretty bad. I'd probably vote for cloture but against final confirmation.

Ross is vomitrocious. Wtf Schatz and Brown?

Presumably anti-Free Trade.
He's honestly one of the few Trump noms I'd consider voting for.

Maybe they'll go with the original (and superior) likely choice in Randy Forbes

I don't trust Ross on trade as far as I can throw him, and neither should anybody else who's looked at his business record.

Interesting. Of all the Trump state Democrats, it seems like Baldwin and Stabenow are the ones most opposed to his nominees and policies, right?

According to 538's tracker, Baldwin has voted with Trump 25% of the time and Stabenow 35% of the time. Sherrod Brown has also voted with Trump 35% of the time. Meanwhile, Manchin leads the pack of Trump state Dems with a 70% voting rate, followed by Heitkamp with 65%, Donnelly with 57.9%, and McCaskill with 52.6%. Other Trump state Dems were below 50% but higher than 35%.
