Rubio just came back... trying to get Rex Tillerson to agree that Saudi Arabia and the new leader in the Phillipines are terrible human rights violators.

Has he become a Democrat?

I think by his choices (like HUD, Education, Energy) he intends to get rid of several.

But he can't unilaterally abolish a department.

Does anyone know what the process is?  Also what happens to the people who work for that department?  Are they moved to a different one or are they fired?
A law is passed by Congress. And that law would also determine the process. Most likely most of them would be fired.

Putting my personal biases aside, they look really bad when they keep on delaying his nominees. This is going to stick with them during midterms and Trump voters won't forget it.
They are doing this for the midterms.

Think.

Warren-Sanders are 70+, get new strong progressives in blue states!

You mean their age or their poll numbers?  Because last time I checked, Warren was 67 years old, not 70+.

I think he meant she'd be 70+ if she were to be sworn in 1/20/2021.

I think the most controversial of the remaining Cabinet nominees are:

Mnuchin (Treasury) - questions about ethics
Price (Health & Human Services) - many questions about ethics, especially insider trading
Puzder (Labor) - bad labor practices when CEO, abusing his wife, hiring illegal help
Pruitt (EPA) - currently suing the EPA he wants to lead, doesn't prioritize climate change

I think Perry and Carson still have to be confirmed too, but they seem to be liked so far without much pushback.

Also, Trump's cabinet was finally announced today, larger than Bush's or Obama's

How many Cabinet-level appointees are left?

How in the  do we not have a DNI yet

Well, DNI is not cabinet, and cabinet gets first priority. And the dems slowed down the cabinet so much that it hasn't been until now that there is a chance to get to other appointments.
Trump said he would be Cabinet-level
