I prefer the Gospel of John but Luke is a close second.

I don't know.  In language, Mark is my favorite.  In doctrine and teaching, John.  But at Christmas and Holy Week, my family always read out of Luke.  So it could be any of those three, based on which specific aspect you are examining.

I like John a lot, but its propensity for treating the reader like an idiot gets a bit grating. Mark's probably my number two.

Luke. It might be John if not for John's nasty attitude about "the Jews".

Matthew 6:33 is my favorite Bible verse.

Matthew, Mark, and Luke pretty much tell the same idea, John is the departure.

That said, while Mark is good for one certain joke about honesty...I have to give it to Matthew.

Matthew. Surprised by the John landslide.

I think the main reason for the John landslide is that John's writing is so much more emotionally charged than the others it makes for easier reading.

Voted John.

Matthew.

I think it's inevitable that if you're a believing Christian you'll have a higher opinion of John than you would if you aren't.
