It will be in January regardless; parliament is up for election every three months, and since the current term began in November, the next elections are slated for January.
Man, I'm going back on the street where things make sense. (Alternatively, could you post a 2018 election calendar in the introduction to Atlasia thread?)
It's on my to-do list.

Not yet. The only major election I see coming next month is the Southern election, which will start on January 19th and end on the 21st.

Will Fremont elections also be occurring in January to your knowledge?
If Kamala calls a snap election. If she doesn't, I believe the next election is due in February.

Right, I am an idiot. Upon consulting the Constitution, the next election will actually be in February (barring an early election). Now, if you will excuse me, I am late for a course in remedial counting.

WARNING! Do not vote until 0:00 EST (1:00 EDT)! You will have 72 hours in which to vote - there's no rush!

REPUBLIC OF ATLASIA - In Dave We Trust
Official Ballot

READ THIS FIRST

1. The election will last 72 hours, starting at 0:00 EST Friday February 16 and ending 0:00 EST Monday February 19.

2. You are eligible to vote in this election if you have made 10 posts on the Atlas Forum in the past 8 weeks, have registered as a voter with the Registrar General more than 7 days before the start of the election, and have not had your voting rights stripped as a result of deregistration or a court verdict.

3. You must vote by ranking your choices in the order of your preference: 1 for your first preference, 2 for your second preference, and so on. You may write in preferences for candidates not on the ballot. If you only wish to preference one candidate, marking an X next to the candidate's name or simply writing the candidate's name is sufficient, provided that you do not wish your vote to transfer to other candidates.

4. If you do not wish to vote for any candidate on the ballot nor to write in a candidate, you may vote for None of the Above as your first preference. All candidates ranked under None of the Above will not receive those preferences during the counting of the votes.

5. You are permitted, but not advised, to edit your ballot within 20 minutes of posting it within this thread. Deleting your ballot at any time or editing it after 20 minutes will result in the invalidation of your vote.

6. Please check over your ballot thoroughly before you click "Post". You have no excuse for casting a ballot which contains errors or does not accurately reflect your preferences. Failure to correct errors in your ballot may result in its disqualification. While the alphabetically-ordered ballot below is provided for your convenience should you wish to quote this post, you may order the candidates on your ballot however you would like.

So what happens if he still gets enough votes to win a seat?

We notify him and he'll either change his mind and be a Representative or resign again, in which case Yankee will appoint a replacement.

He's resigning because of his IRL health. I don't think he'll "change his mind".

Okay then I guess Yankee will appoint a replacement. Good thing I didn't just say "he'll change his mind and be a Representative" and left it at there!

Nine candidates for nine seats, again; and one of those will need to be replaced immediately if ("if") elected. Not exactly an encouraging sign for our democracy. Tongue

Pericles/MikeWells12 - 32 (29.36%)
Spiral/Adam Griffin - 23 (21.10%)
WI: Not_Madigan/Peebs - 4 (3.67%)
Unconfirmed Write-Ins (1 each for Politicalmasta73/PiT (the Physicist), Peebs/HomestarSB9, and Bore (unable to accept)) - 3 total (2.75% total)

All three unconfirmed write-ins are eliminated. No second pref for any of them, so they're all exhausted.

Madigan is eliminated. Two of his votes go to Pericles, one each go to Fhtagn and Spiral.

Round 3:
Fhtagn/PiT (the Physicist) - 48 (45.28%)
Pericles/MikeWells12 - 34 (32.08%)
Spiral/Adam Griffin - 24 (22.64%)

Spiral is eliminated. 15 of his votes go to Pericles, seven go to Fhtagn, two are exhausted.

Round 4:
Fhtagn/PiT (the Physicist) - 55 (52.88%)
Pericles/MikeWells12 - 49 (47.12%)

Fhtagn has been re-elected to a second full term.

And House, Round 1:

North Carolina Yankee - 15 (13.76%)
Politicalmasta73 - 13 (11.93%)
Jake Jewvinivisk - 11 (10.09%)
Oakvale - 11 (10.09%)
Peebs - 11 (10.09%)

RFayette - 10 (9.17%)
JGibson - 9 (8.26%)
ReaganClinton20XX - 6 (5.50%)

Seven bolded meet the quota of 11 and are elected. Yankee and Masta are the only ones who have a surplus, which is redistributed.

Round 2:
Note: %ages from here on in are of remaining open vote (so with 7 seats filled, each candidates' votes are divided by 32 (109-77)).

JGibson - 9.46153846153846 (29.57%)
ReaganClinton20XX - 8.06153846153846 (25.19%)
Unconfirmed WI: Not_Madigan - 1 (3.13%)
Exhausted - 0.728205128205128 (2.28%)

RFayette exceeds the quota and is elected. His surplus is redistributed.

Round 3:
Note: With 8 seats filled, each candidates' votes are divided by 21 (109-88).
JGibson - 9.48264125255276 (45.16%)
ReaganClinton20XX - 9.41493079192194 (44.83%)
Unconfirmed WI: Not_Madigan - 1 (4.76%)
Exhausted - 1.1024279555253 (5.25%)

No candidate reaches the quota, so Madigan is eliminated. His one vote is redistributed.

Round 4:
See note for round 3.
ReaganClinton20XX - 10.4149307919219 (49.59%)
JGibson - 9.48264125255276 (45.16%)
Exhausted - 1.1024279555253 (5.25%)

With Reagan having more votes of the two remaining candidates for the one remaining seat, he is elected without a quota.

Federalists - 55 (50.46%) / 5 (55.55%)
Progressives - 20 (18.35%) / 1 (11.11%)
Alliancites - 12 (11.01%) / 1 (11.11%)
Laborites - 11 (10.09%) / 1 (11.11%)
Paxists - 11 (10.09%) / 1 (11.11%)
