Old thread got too big, and Tik hasn't been around for months, so I took the liberty of calculating the numbers and stuff and making this new thread

Most prolific complainers on the old thread:

1) Kalwejt 177
2) Cathcon 153
3) ChairmanSanchez 147
4) Antonio V 137
5) LLR 99 (fml)
6) TheShadowyAbyss 98
7) Nathan 79
8 ) TedBessell 64
9) Peebs 60
10) darthebearnc 56
11) Virginia/Classic Conservative 55
12) Scott 53
13) Blair2015 47

I have a lot more data (because of course I do), if anyone's interested

As to myself, I'm horrible at not procrastinating, as usual. Let's get this thread messy!

I spent yesterday at my dad's funeral to finally lay him to rest, then my friend's car broke down in a mostly empty parking lot in the city at 9pm and we had to wait there for his parents to come. I didn't get home until almost midnight. Pretty crappy day.

OK, I've put my Polish writing project on hold, due to running out of ideas, and started writing the continuation of my novel in English novel, which, as I've mentioned, will be out somewhere around. March (the first volume that is, since they decided to split it in two.) Working goes fine.

Also, it's snowing beautifully:

Like many other government organizations, the army is annoyingly opaque. Still 0 idea to what role will I get conscripted.

Most of the data I have are because I split it up into 10-page blocks:

Person with the most posts per block

1-10: Tony (30)
11-20: #TSA (23)
21-30: Peebs (25)
31-40: Sanchez (22)
41-50: Kal (30)
51-60: Cathcon (28)
61-70: Sanchez (31)
71-80: Cathcon (28)
81-84: Kal/Tony/Scott/Scarlet (6)

People to get 20 posts in 3 consecutive blocks
Kal: 11-80
Cathcon: 51-80
Tony: 31-60

Most posts in the first half (1-40)
1) Sanchez 77
2) Kal 73
3) Tony/TSA 62
4) Cathcon 59
5) LLR 45

Most posts in the second half (41-84)
1) Kal 104
2) Cathcon 94
3) Tony 75
4) Sanchez 70
5) LLR 54
6) Scott 53

Most posts in middle half (21-60)
1) Kal 91
2) Sanchez 70
3) LLR 67
4) Cathcon/Tony 65
5) TSA 48

Most posts in leftover (1-20,61-84)
1) Cathcon 88
2) Kal 86
3) Sanchez 77
4) Tony 72
5) TSA 50

Also, ranks 14-20

14) sunrise/LD Smith 42
15) Ernest 38
16) smilo 34
17) cxs 33
18) Enduro 31
19) Alfred 30
20) R2D2 29

Biggest difference between first half total and second half total

1) Scott 53 (0/53)
2) Cathcon 35 (59/94)
3) dar 32 (44/12)
4) Kal 31 (73/104)
4) cxs 31 (32/1)

How ugly does a graph look?

Answer: Very

I pray that more than half of my 34 are sarcastic snipes rather than updates.

Anyway - after last night - in which I spent about 7 hours deleting my incessant Facebook posting from 2009-2011 and censoring parts of my Twitter - I am now convinced that 16 should be the age to post on the Internet. My history was literally Shirley Cain-esque posts which made no sense and had (often intentional) spelling errors in addition to posting the score of literally every single minor league baseball game. I wanted to ask what is wrong with me specifically and then I checked the profiles of several friends who were similarly embarrassing (and I would not expect these people to be). Only a few followed sports, but the posting of nightly homework progress updates, etc., etc.! I mean, WHO CARE to the max. Can I please delete this entire part of my life?! I don't even understand what Facebook was in this era!

At least 95% of what I post on here is a joke so there is no need to censor, but geez, hope I never look back on this as badly as I do at that.

I haven't posted about my life in forever, so here are a couple of things I'm up to:

- After I got back from Europe in October, I was on something of a tightrope financially, so I did what any good Seattleite does and got a job as a barista while I look for more long-term employment.

- I'm planning to move to DC this summer, regardless of whether I actually get hired anywhere or not, but I will have to see what the money situation is.

- I've been trying to impress this girl for like, two years. We had kind of an awkward moment back in June when I sort of let her know how I feel and she told me she didn't want to date anyone right out of college until after she got her life figured out, since she'd probably end up relocating. Things were awkward for a while, but have been getting better. As it turns out, she figured out her life a whole lot quicker than I did, so I still have work to do, but we will probably end up at least in the same metropolitan area.

- My grandpa is sick with something very odd, that has befuddled all of his doctors - it's like he has Parkinson's, but will randomly be fine for days or weeks at a time before going back to being almost completely immobile and having lots of cognitive difficulties. He's getting his latest round of test results back this week.

It'll be both on the paper and as an ebook.

Oh, and also, ages ago I was part of this group that was researching various policy positions of the 2016 candidates re: the EU. It just so happened my team was the Trump team, so when he unexpectedly won the election, one of my co-writers actually got invited to Brussels to present our report.

So I like to think that somewhere in Brussels, some bureaucrat is reading our Trump paper and making some minor administrative suggestions to policy based on some random thing I wrote.

I got into a screaming match at work with an Emory student about the upper middle class and their politics. Eventually it devolved into her holding her hand in my face and shouting "HILLBILLY" every time I tried to start a sentence. This is the first time I've ever been tempted to take a swing at someone during a political discussion.
