Is it normal to get mad when someone tells you to pray?

Living in the south and being very involved in Church, I pray with groups at least once a week and my family prays at every meal and prays together often. I've been praying with my friends and sports teams since birth basically. I often suggest prayer; I've never pushed it on someone. Most of the people where I live are Christians, although there're are roughly equal Catholics and Protestants that creates some sort of rift. I can't imagine getting mad or someone getting mad when I suggest prayer. Prayer is a beautiful thing.

Even they i do not follow religion, i would have no issues praying with others in a social situation.
