I now open this up to the floor for debate.

EDIT: Before he left for Fremont, 1184AZ wrote this bill. As he is no longer a member of the Chamber and cannot sponsor this bill, I have taken over as sponsor.

I know the chamber is fairly divided and I'm fairly certain how four of the delegates stand on this, but would the delegates be willing to amend this bill to something lower than 24 weeks? I will likely sign the bill as is, if it passes as is, but I would prefer something lower.

This bill is an outrage and completely misunderstands the situation of the issue.

Of course, look at who wrote it...

I would like a Delegate to offer a 14 week benchmark INSTEAD of a 24 week one, 24 weeks is much too high.

Why not have a separate bill for those, Diptherian?

I've talked with Ben about this and I think that voting on the bill as is, is the best way to go forward. Any objections?

None from me. If we've got three votes, let's get this done.

I move for a final vote on this bill, as worded, without amendments.

This is insanely weak. Three illegal abortions before you lose your license?! How about mandatory minimums of 10 years after three? Medical license after one. 5 years after two. 10 years after three. Life thereafter?

I agree. but it is stronger than what we have at present. I'm happy for a stronger bill, but we need 3 votes to pass anything.

diptherian, those riders are a non-starter. We should pass a clean bill.

Hold on, it appears I have done something wrong. The vote on the amendment is now postponed until further notice.
