Because while this administration is pretty bad, a Democratic Congress would be a disaster - there would be investigations every day and maybe even an impeachment trial. Plus, a Democrat would be guaranteed to win in 2020 and the Democratic trifecta would pass whatever they want. And like I said, these Class 1 Democrats are beyond awful.

There is no way there would be investigations beyond those already going on, and those might be over by then if there's no new evidence. Also, there's no way in hell there would be impeachment unless the Republicans wanted it, since a conviction takes a 2/3 majority in the Senate.
