If Feinstein ends up not running for re-election 2018... and Eric Swalwell runs and wins her seat- Does he have any Presidential Ticket potential? (like a slim shot at 2020 VP is Booker won... or a real chance at being on the ticket in 2024 or 2028? He will be 40 in 2020 (48 in 2028).
The reason I ask...is I don't know much about him- But have noticed he's being put on a lot of news shows lately (presumably a decision by Dem leaders in Washington)... So I was wondering if he is maybe being groomed for Feinstein's seat?
He seems to have good camera presence, I think is middle of the party- but doesn't come off as a "California Liberal" in demeanor... and if he were to win Feinstein's seat in 2018- he would be the youngest Senator at 38 years old. Also, he was born in Iowa and went to college in North Carolina (which may lessen a California stereotype a bit.
Other than that I know nothing about him (is he intelligent, is he charismatic, etc)
