Shamelessly ripping this off Yankee.
Since all the leadership posts in this are vacant, I am assuming control as Dean-elect of the House of the position of Labor House Conference Chair on an interim basis.

Minority Conference Positions:
Declarations:
Deputy Speaker (selected by Speaker Yankee): Peebs
Minority/Congressional Leader: Peebs
Minority/Congressional Whip: OneJ_
Conference Chair: 1184AZ
Policy Chair: simossad

Due note, the Speaker has to be elected by the whole House upon its swearing in, through the process designated in the rules of the House, pending amendment.

First off Members of the House Conference for the 5th Congress, please sign-in (OneJ_, simossad, and AZ, you cannot vote on legislation or introduce bills until you swear in on March 3rd, this is only for Conference purposes):
Peebs
simossad
1184AZ
OneJ_

Shamelessly ripping off Yankee again.
Deputy Speaker of course has to help administer the House, put bills on the floor and run the votes and such.
Minority leader is basically the floor leader for the Party Conference. I suppose she Wink could introduce bills and such that the conference supports.
Minority Whip, is suppose to scour for votes on such legislation.
Conference chair has duties established in the Labor bylaws, including administering leadership elections for the Conference.
And Policy Chair I guess can develop legislation for the conference to pursue.

To be a bore wouldn't it be incorrect for us to have a deputy speaker (as we're not in the majority)

We could see that role merged in with Minority Leader to create the position of Congressional Leader (which gives you a nice comfy office at Labor HQ as a member of the LNC)
I assumed that, but Yankee already offered me the position, so whatever. Tongue

That was easy.
With 3 of the 4 Laborite Reps voting,
Peebs has been elected Congressional Leader,
OneJ_ has been elected Congressional Whip,
1184AZ has been elected Conference Chair, and
simossad has been elected Policy Chair.
AZ can still vote, but his vote won't change the outcome.

Bumping this for the 6th Congress. You know the roles.

Declarations:
Congressional Leader: Peebs (inc.)
Congressional Whip: OneJ_ (inc.)
Conference Chair: Clyde1998
Policy Chair: simossad (inc.)

Since we forgot to replace AZ as Conference Chair, I will serve as acting conference chair.

With 3 of 4 Laborites motioning to acclaim,
Peebs has been re-elected Congressional Leader,
OneJ_ has been re-elected Congressional Whip,
Clyde1998 has been elected Conference Chair, and
simossad has been re-elected Policy Chair.
OneJ_ can fourth the proposal, but it doesn't seem necessary.

Since the caucus only has three members, I'll serve as acting conference chair. Motion to acclaim the positions.

With 2 of 3 Laborites motioning to acclaim (Also Illiniwek, but in about 40 minutes, his seat is Smith's),
Peebs has been re-elected Congressional Leader,
JGibson has been elected Congressional Whip, and
Alpha has been elected Policy Chair.
Alpha can fourth the proposal, but it doesn't seem necessary.

Bumping this for the 8th Congress. You know the roles.

Declarations:
House Leader: Peebs (inc.)
House Whip: JGibson (inc.)
Senate Leader: Scott
Senate Whip:
Conference Chair:
Policy Chair:

While I'm running for re-elex as leader, I will not accept any nominations for Speaker come September 1, and will be the deciding vote to keep Yankee, should the occasion arise. Senate leader/whip are similar to House leader/whip, except for the Senate. Also, what Yankee said re: whips.

Not sure if I can do this anymore as a member of the Peace Party, but I hereby nominate JGibson for (re-)election as Minority Leader.
