Getting the Come Out Of The Shadows Act that's making it's way through Congress passed would be a good start, as I think it covers all bases in regards to immigration, and resolving an issues with the bill that may occur once it's passed.

Pushing for the establishment of Texas as its own region, with two Senators and a SC judge, and the guaranteed right for secession should Texans ever choose. That and ceding Vermont to Texas. (normal)
