-Foreign policy speech in reaction to recent military exercises conducted by North Korean military forces near border with South Korea and unveiling Marco Rubio's plan to ensure peace, stability and security on the Pacific Ocean - Museum of Flight, Seattle, Washington :

Almost 75 years ago, during World War II, the Washington state played a major role for our forces' readiness for the Pacific War, especially when it comes to the manufacturing of ships and warplanes for the war effort. But now, we are facing new challenges on the Pacific Ocean : North Korea keeps developing its nuclear program and is multiplying provocations on the Pacific by threatening our regional allies militarily. Pyongyang is increasing missile tests and conducting military exercises near the Korean Demilitarized Zone, violating Korean Armistice Agreement (ratified at the end of the Korean War in 1953) and weakening stability in the Korean peninsula. That's why we must put North Korea back on the list of states supporting terrorism. Kim Jong-un's regime is much more dangerous than ever before. If we don't take action on it, we risk witnessing the beginning of a devastating nuclear war.

China is lead by an oppressive communist government that does not embrace free enterprise and restricts freedom of the Chinese people. Beijing is also disputing insular territories in the Pacific and shows it's military power in order to threat it's opponents in the region, violating South China Sea's territorial integrity. We need to increase military exercises with our allies in the region if we want to prevent such a crisis and make our partners more able to prevent any Chinese offensive.

Abu Sayyaf is a threat that must be exterminated. This Filipino terrorist group that swore allegiance to ISIS is killing innocent Christians, holding tourists hostage to fund their terrorist activities, put in danger our local economic and political interests and is trying to rip apart one of our most strategic geopolitical allies on the South China Sea : the Philippines. Abu Sayyaf is bringing instability on the Pacific Ocean and if we don't destroy it, this terrorist organization could use the Philippines as a springboard to commit terrorist attacks against us and our allies.

I propose that we create around the Pacific Ocean an intergovernmental military alliance similar to NATO, but including the United States and all their allies around the Pacific (like Canada, Mexico, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Japan, etc.) to prevent any North Korean aggression, to take down any North Korean missile thrown against us or our allies and to reinforce security on the Pacific Ocean. Thanks to such an intergovernmental military association, we can avoid any war with North Korea and restore peace, security and stability on the Pacific while increasing pressure on Pyongyang and we'll be able to ensure South China's Sea territorial integrity and expand freedom in this region by reinforcing our military presence there in order to make sure our local allies will be able to discourage China from attacking and invading our partners. The U.S. Navy and our allies will bomb djihadists fighting for Abu Sayyaf and our warplanes from our aircraft carriers will locate targets and destroy them, thus helping the Filipino government to eradicate Abu Sayyaf and restore security and peace on its territory. This is peace through strength. The Pacific Ocean will be aptly named.

God bless our men and women in uniform, God bless our allies and God bless the United States of America. Thank you everybody!

The Washington Post

Political Geography: Tales from the campaign trail

Washington

Both Marco Rubio and Donald Trump focused their efforts on western regions of the Washington state, a region that seems to be the key to victory in this state. Rubio could have the upper hand in western Washington, especially in the Seattle, Olympia and Tacoma areas due to his appeal among ethnic minorities and to his focus on economic issues and foreign policy issues.

Marco Rubio's victory speech in Seattle, Washington

Thank you Washington.

Here, in Seattle we are bordering an ocean that is about to become a battlefield. But if we stand with our allies, reinforce our military presence on the Pacific and create the PTO in order to stop North Korea and China from pursuing their arms race and their military agression against our local allies, the Pacific Ocean will remain pacific. I met many people here in the Pacific Northwest that lost their jobs and are worried about their future and America's future. Their situation is due to Barack Obama's protectionism and war on energy. But TPP will make our companies competitive again, reduce the cost of trading, get us new consumers, bring innovation as well as job creation. When it comes to energy, like I said, Obama declared war on energy, overexpanded regulations on fossil energy industries and made us unable to develop new forms of energies. But if I'm President, we will double permits on federal lands, increase oil drilling, approve the Keystone XL pipeline, build the TransAmerica Energy pipeline from Pennsylvania to California and another one from Alaska to Alberta, which will create many good-paying jobs, boost our automobile industry, reduce the cost of buying a car in America (which will give us the upper-hand in the TPP where American cars will be less expansive than Asian cars), get us energy independence and give the necessary revenues to invest into the development of renewable energies, thus helping America to pursue further job creation without hurting the environment. A safer, more prosperous and more united America will lead us to a New American Century that will make our dreams becoming reality, restore the American Dream and keep America's status as the land of opportunity alive.

Thank you! God bless America.

New polls

As Marco Rubio has only 84 more delegates to win to secure the Republican nomination, California has become the main battleground for the June 7 primaries. So Marco Rubio and Donald Trump are focusing their efforts mostly on California. Whoever wins the California primary and all the 172 delegates will determine the issue of the Republican primary race : if Donald Trump wins this primary, the Republican National Convention will be brokered, which would give Trump a new chance of winning the nomination. If Rubio wins the California primary, he will become the Republican nominee. He's in good position to accomplish this goal : according to recent polls, the Florida Senator is leading the real estate mogul in California with 57 % of the voting intentions over Trump's 41 %.

On the campaign trail

New endorsements

Ahead of the California primary, Marco Rubio, the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, received an important endorsement in California : Meg Whitman, the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise CEO.

During one of Rubio's rallies in San Francisco, the businesswoman described the Florida Senator as the «presidential candidate with the best background to make America prosperous. Thanks to the promotion of small government and tax reform, he will champion small businesses, make America the best place in the world to open a new business, make America competitive in the global economy, bring innovation, lead America to energy independence, balance our budget. Senator Rubio knows that America's economic success is not due to big government. It's due to free market, to hard working, to ingenuity and entrepreneurship. That's why I'm here to announce that I endorse Marco Rubio. »

Montana Senator Steve Daines, South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds, South Dakota Governor Denis Daugaard and former New Mexico Senator Pete Domeneci also gave their endorsements to Senator Rubio.

Investigator General Report Critical of Clinton

Yesterday, the Department's Office of the Inspector General Steve Linick released an 83-page report about the State Department's email practices.

The Inspector General was unable to find evidence that Clinton had ever sought approval from the State Department staff for her use of a private email server, determining that if Clinton had sought approval, Department staff would have declined her setup because of the "security risks in doing so. Aside from security risks, the report stated that "she did not comply with the Department's policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act." The report also stated that Clinton and her senior aides declined to speak with the investigators, while the previous four Secretaries of State did so.

The Inspector General criticized Clinton's use of private email for Department business, concluding that it was "not an appropriate method" of document preservation and did not follow Department policies that aim to comply with federal record laws.

-Speech in Los Angeles, CA, in which Marco Rubio slams Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email instead of a governmental email in reaction to recent reports :

Once again, Hillary Clinton has insulted the intelligence of the American people by lying about her emails. By deleting 30 000 emails, she put our national security in danger by allowing our nation's foes to hijack these emails to put lives in danger around the world. In addition Secretary Clinton's lax security compromised at least two counterterrorism operations such as the operation to eliminate the leader of Abu Sayyaf as well as the operation to intercept Chinese-made weapons components being smuggled into Iraq. That's why Hillary Clinton is disqualified from being Commander-in-Chief. She can't be trusted to keep America safe.

When I'm President, we will act a totally different way :  I will use a governmental email server and so will all the members of my Cabinet. We will restore integrity. We will stand with our allies. We will strengthen and modernize our military as well as our security measures and our alliances so we can defeat radical Islamic terrorism, keep America safe and restore peace and security around the world.

-Energy policy speech in Los Angeles, California
-Foreign policy speech at the USS Iowa Museum in Los Angeles, California
Space policy speech in Los Angeles, California

If we want to grow our space industry and relaunch U.S. space exploration is to incentivize the private sector to develop space technology by promoting partnership between NASA and private spaceflight companies like SpaceX, Shackleton Energy Company, Space Adventures, Ltd., Planetary Resources, Deep Space Industries, etc., and by extending tax credits and exemptions for those businesses investing in research and development, equipment and other capital (a plan similar to the AGREE Act that I co-sponsored to the Senate in 2011) in order not only to create new jobs in the space industry but also to develop a plan that will keep our space program alive, dynamic and competitive. That's how we'll be able to innovate and develop our space technologies and equipment and to exploit volatiles, minerals and other raw materials from asteroids, comets, moons, near-Earth objects and other space objects to grow our economy. Some of these resources will be taken back to Earth to grow our economy and create jobs (especially gold, silver, iridium, platinum, osmium, palladium, rhodium, rhenium, tungsten and ruthenium) or used to construct rockets and spacecrafts that will be committed for spatial missions (iron, aluminium, titanium, nickel, manganese, molybdenum and cobalt), to ensure our astronauts' self-sufficiency (oxygen and water) and to be utilized as rocket propellant (hydrogen, oxygen and ammonia). That's what we can call in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) that provides all the required materials and energy for a space mission. That way, thanks to ISRU, we will successfully conduct a manned space mission and reclaim our status as world leaders in space exploration while reducing the mass and cost of space exploration architectures as well as the amount of payload that must be launched from Earth in order to explore a given planetary-body.

By the way, if we want to revive and grow our space program, we also have to abolish government regulations on space commercialization that cost too much, make it harder for American innovators to create jobs and undermined our citizens' and businesses' ability to establish property rights in space, which imposed obstacles to the development of space for commercial development and human habitation as well. But in November 2015, the Spurring Private Aerospace Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship Act of 2015 (SPACE Act of 2015) was signed into law after passing in Congress in order to discourage government barriers to the development in the United States of economically viable, safe, and stable industries for commercial exploration and commercial recovery of spatial resources in manners consistent with the global commitments of America, to recognize the right of U.S. citizens and businesses to own space resources they obtain and to promote the commercial exploration and use of resources exploited on asteroids. This bill is an important gain for our country, for Florida’s space coast and for the whole space exploration community. That's why I supported that bill to help the American space industry to create new jobs and to expand further into space than ever before. I will use this kind leadership as President of the United States

Thanks to my plan, we will revive our space program, make progress in space exploration, conduct successful manned space missions on the Moon or Mars by 2030, encourage space commercialization through the exploitation of spatial resources and raw materials to accelerate job creation in the United States and to make our space missions more easy to accomplish while limiting the government's role, reducing government spending and saving taxpayers' money. The future is becoming reality and this will be one giant leap not only for America but also for mankind as Neil Armstrong said while becoming the first person to walk on the Moon, 47 years ago.

Here we are, in the great state of California, where Ronald Reagan was an actor in Hollywood, where he served as Governor for 8 years before becoming the 40th President of the United States and where he's resting.

My rival Donald Trump seeks to destroy Ronald Reagan's legacy, a legacy that made America great, safe and prosperous. He wants to withdraw us from free trade deals and make us less competitive in the world economy through protectionist policies that will kill American jobs and restrict opportunities to create jobs in America through lower tariffs and lower costs for American products. He wants to withdraw America from NATO, which will allow a massive victory for ISIS, for international terrorism and for Vladimir Putin. This will make the world less safe and put it in a chaotic situation. We need strong American leadership, a strong U.S. military and strong alliances in order to make America and the whole world safe, to defeat terrorism and to restore freedom and democracy around the world. That is exactly what I will do as President.

My opponent Donald Trump has plagiarized Ronald Reagan with his slogan « Make America Great Again » while Reagan's 1980 campaign slogan was « Let's Make America Great Again ».

Ronald Reagan was a great American and a strong leader.

Ronald Reagan grew the US economy through free market policies such as tax cuts, reduction of government spending, free trade, business championing and curbing inflation, which created over 16 million new jobs during the 8 years of Reagan's presidency.

Ronald Reagan kept our country safe and contributed to America's victory in the Cold War against the USSR through a stronger defense budget, stronger US military, stronger and expanded partnerships with our allies and stronger diplomacy.

Donald, you are no Ronald Reagan!

Hey Donald! Watch it, be careful. If you tell people « You're fired! » like in the Apprentice, here is the perfect reply as a punchline : « You are terminated! ». Look at the delegate count and do the math. You can't win. It's time for you to drop out of the race for party unity because we can't let Hillary Clinton win this election and give us a third disastrous Obama term that will hurt the economy and our national security. We need to stand with Marco Rubio to get this country back on track once and for all and that's how we will keep America great, because America's greatness is required for a New American Century.

-In an effort to win the California primary and to attract voters who selected the economy as the most important issue, Marco Rubio's presidential campaign broadcasts an attack ad against Donald Trump on his anti-free trade rhetoric as an important part of California's economy is based on international trade, listing the disastrous effects of a withdrawal from free trade deals like TPP and NAFTA and narrating Rubio's plan to promote free trade while keeping manufacturing jobs in the United States. The ad titled « Right Plan » airs in California.

Narrator : An important part of California's economy depends on trade and international related commerce accounts for about one-quarter of the state's economy.

And yet, Donald Trump opposes free trade and wants to withdraw America from free trade deals like TPP and NAFTA, which will hurt America's economy, including California's. If Trump is elected and withdraws us from TPP, California would lose 640 000 jobs (more than 4% of private sector employment), including 176 000 jobs in Los Angeles and 60 000 jobs in the Orange County by hurting exports of Silicon Valley computer and electronics products, as well as Central Valley farmers looking to grow their markets overseas.

The last time we tried to restrict trade was under Herbert Hoover, with the the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 that raised tariffs and made the Great Depression longer and worse by rising the unemployment from 9 % to 25 % in three years. We can't afford to repeat the mistakes of the past.

That's why, as a principled conservative and champion of free enterprise, Marco Rubio will lead us in the right direction and champion free trade, ratify TPP as well as free trade deals with Latin America and Europe in order to reinforce America's competitiveness in the world economy. He will do so by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading, allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments, by making America the best place in the world to do business through a reduction of our corporate tax rate from 40 % to 20 %, by reducing taxes for all businesses across this country, including manufacturing businesses, thus making it easier for American manufacturing companies to do business in America, keeping manufacturing jobs, reinforcing job creation in America as well as our competitiveness in the world market, getting us new consumers internationally and counter-balancing China's trade power.

(Own creation)

So California, on June 7, vote for Marco Rubio for the sake of a strong economy and strong prosperity through free market, free enterprise and competitiveness.

The Washington Post

Political Geography: Tales from the campaign trail

California

↓↘
The North and the South
Fighting for survival, Donald Trump focused most of the last two weeks in California, where he needs to win in order to have a chance of winning the Republican nomination in a brokered convention. He hopes to do well in northern California, including the Sacramento area, all regions that tend to be more conservative than California's center and southern counties. Trump targeted southern California, especially the Los Angeles and San Bernardino areas, where he focused most of his campaign on illegal immigration and related the San Bernardino terrorist attack (committed on December 2015) to illegal immigration.

↑↗

The South and the Silicon Valley
California has become the battlefield that will determine the issue of the Republican primary race. In the last two weeks, Marco Rubio spent most of his time in California. He needs to win the California primary in order to clinch the Republican nomination. He focused most of his efforts in southern California, including the Orange County, Los Angeles and San Francisco areas where he hopes to do well among ethnic minority voters and moderate voters. He also targeted the Silicon Valley where he hopes to perform well among fiscal conservatives who described the economy as the most important issue. The Florida Senator could also benefit from the fact that an important part of California's economy is based on international trade due to Rubio's support to free trade.

New Mexico

↓↘
The Hispanic vote
Marco Rubio is likely to perform very well in the New Mexico Republican primary since 47 % of New Mexico's population is composed by Hispanics while Rubio is fluent in Spanish and Donald Trump insulted this group by calling illegal immigrants killers, rapists and drug dealers. In addition, Rubio could benefit from New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez's endorsement.

Donald Trump hopes that his message on illegal immigration and free trade will help him to win the New Mexico primary.

New Jersey

Donald Trump is largely leading in the polls released in New Jersey. He could benefit from New Jersey's proximity with New York City, his birthplace and where he built the Trump Tower. In addition, Trump is endorsed by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Since Donald Trump is likely to win the New Jersey primary, Marco Rubio did not campaign there and focused most of his efforts on California, the state that is likely to decide whether he will secure the 1237 delegates needed to win the Republican presidential nomination.

California Republican primary (100 % reported) - 172 delegates

Marco Rubio : 61 % ✔ - 160 delegates
Donald Trump : 39 % - 12 delegates

MARCO RUBIO WINS THE CALIFORNIA REPUBLICAN PRIMARY

MARCO RUBIO CLINCHES THE REPUBLICAN NOMINATION FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Wolf Blitzer : « So that's right, Florida Senator Marco Rubio just clinched the Republican presidential nomination. He now has 1402 delegates, which is 165 more delegates than the 1237 needed to win the nomination, thus making Marco Rubio the Republican presidential nominee. This is a historic day because Senator Rubio just became the first Hispanic to become the nominee of one of the two major parties. »

John King : « So now, after a hard and long primary campaign, he can focus on the general election campaign and investing all his attacks against Hillary Clinton. »

Anderson Cooper : « And according to some polls, he could beat George W. Bush's 2004 record in attracting Hispanic voters. Recently, Senator Rubio is winning among Hispanics with around 45 % of the Hispanics' voting intentions. I think it will be interesting to see a Hispanic facing a woman, especially if Hillary Clinton wins the California Democratic primary and the Democratic nomination. »

John King : « Wolf, we have other breaking news to announce : Donald Trump dropped out of the race. »

DONALD TRUMP DROPS OUT OF THE RACE
Wolf Blitzer : « Oh yeah. It was expected that Trump drops out of the race since he lost the California primary and Marco Rubio secured the Republican nomination. I think he told himself that time has come for party unity in order to ensure a Republican victory on November. »

Anderson Cooper : « And maybe he told himself that it's another way to make America great again. »

John King : « And he can console himself since he arrived second in the Republican primary race so he can be considered as the next guy in line in four years if Rubio doesn't win the General Election in November. You know, in most of the Republican Party's recent history, the candidate who finished second in the previous primary race went on to win the nomination in the next primary cycle : it happened to Ronald Reagan who finished second behind Gerald Ford in 1976 but won the nomination in 1980. It happened the same for George H. W. Bush who lost the nomination to Reagan by finishing second in 1980 but won the nomination in 1988. The same for Bob Dole who finished second in 1988 and won the nomination 8 years later. John McCain finished as the runner-up during the 2000 primaries behind George W. Bush and became the Republican nominee in 2008. And finally Mitt Romney arrived second behind John McCain in 2008 but won the nomination in 2012. So if the Democrats win this fall, it could be Donald Trump's turn to have the next-in-line advantage in 2020. But for 2024, if Rubio wins this year and wins re-election in 2020, Trump would be too old to run in 2024 at 78 years old. »

CALIFORNIA, NEW MEXICO, MONTANA, NORTH DAKOTA, SOUTH DAKOTA AND NEW JERSEY PRIMARIES AND CAUCUSES, 2016
PART 3

Wolf Blitzer : « Ok, we have another historic projection to make : Hillary Clinton wins the California Democratic primary, thus clinching the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. »

California Democratic primary (100 % reported) - 551 delegates
Hillary Clinton : 54 % ✔ - 318 delegates
Bernie Sanders : 46 % - 233 delegates

HILLARY CLINTON WINS THE CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY

HILLARY CLINTON CLINCHES THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Wolf Blitzer : « So like I just said, Hillary Clinton just clinched the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, an accomplishment she failed to do during her first presidential campaign 8 years ago when Barack Obama became the Democratic nominee. Now, Hillary Clinton has 2580 delegates 198 more delegates than the 2382 delegates needed to secure the nomination, which makes Hillary Clinton the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. She just became the first woman to be nominated by one of the 2 majors parties. Eight years after the first African-American, time has come for the first woman. So that's official, the 2016 presidential race will be between Marco Rubio, the Republican nominee, and Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee. »

VS

John King : « So this election will be historic since we will witness the election of either the first woman or the first Hispanic as President of the United States. »

Wolf Blitzer : « Thank you, ladies and gentlemen for watching. We'll see you next week for the coverage of the Democratic primary in Washington D.C. Have a good night. »

Donald Trump drops out of the race and endorses Marco Rubio

Thank you, my friends! Thank you so very much!

I am proud of the campaign we fought for America's future. I want to thank all the voters who supported me in this long hard fought primary race.

Tonight, our party's supporters have spoken. The American people has spoken. Democracy has spoken.

A few moments ago, I called Senator Rubio to congratulate him on his victories tonight and on securing the 1237 delegates needed to become the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

My friends, in order to keep our party united and to ensure our party's victory as well as America's victory on November for a brighter, prosperous, safe and fair future for our country, it's with optimism for our country's future that I'm suspending my campaign. And I endorse our nominee Senator Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States of America.

[APPLAUSE]

I endorse Marco Rubio because we can't let Crooked Hillary win this election and allow a third Obama term that will destroy our economy, ensure radical Islamic terrosim's expansion and bring corruption in the government, especially through tens of thousands of deleted emails that showed her lack of responsibility for America's safety.

[APPLAUSE]

I endorse Marco Rubio because we have a chance of party unity. Now, our party is united. You know what? Even though Crooked Hillary has secured the Democratic nomination tonight, Crazy Bernie is not dropping out yet. I encourage Crazy Bernie to stay in the race as long as he wants in order to keep the Democratic Party divided. It shows that Crooked Hillary can not be trusted to lead this country and is representing the status quo. Only together, we can win this election and get our country back on track once and for all.

[APPLAUSE]

And here is the main reason why I endorse Marco Rubio to be commander-in-chief : he will be a great and strong leader who will keep America safe through increased defense spending and modernized American military that will help us defeating ISIS and international terrorism and defending freedom and democracy. Under President Rubio's leadership, our country and our allies will never surrender, believe me. He will bring prosperity back to America by reducing the size of government, making sure that we'll take advantage of all energies (including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, etc.), by championing businesses of all sizes, balancing our budget and cutting taxes for our manufacturing industry, which will help us to get manufacturing jobs back in America in addition of creating more of such jobs while making America competitive in the world economy. Unlike Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio will fight corruption and he will defend our constitution and our freedom by protecting freedom of speech and the right for self defense.

[APPLAUSE]

Marco Rubio will make America great again, believe me. Like Senator Rubio said, America's greatness is one of the main factors for a New American Century. I endorse Senator Marco Rubio to be the next President of the United States. Let's join with Marco Rubio in this campaign for America's future. We will fight alongside Senator Rubio for liberty, we will work hard and do everything we can to help Marco Rubio to win this election, to defeat Hillary Clinton, to grow our party's majority in the Congress and to give America the brightest future it has ever known. The best is yet to come.

Thank you. God bless you folks. God bless the United States of America.

I'd recommend Jeff Sessions.

Marco Rubio's victory speech in Los Angeles, California, as the presumptive  Republican presidential nominee

Thank you my friends. Thank you California, New Mexico, Montana, South Dakota and New Jersey. I am thankful of the support you gave to our campaign during this long and intense primary race. Tonight, thanks to your support, we have won enough delegates to give me the great honor to proudly announce you that I will be the Republican nominee for President of the United States of America.

[APPLAUSE]

A few moments ago, I received a call from Donald Trump who congratulated me on our victories tonight and gave me his endorsement. Now, we are a united party.

[APPLAUSE]

I also want to thank all my former rivals for the nomination for their contribution for America's cause by participating in this race and bringing up great ideas that will boost our party as well as the whole country and you know why because we are a party of ideas. Now I'm thanking them for their support to our campaign because right now time has come for us to work together in order to convince the American people that we represent the solution to Barack Obama's record of disapointement, economic sluggish, growing terrorist threat and national division. We will bring real change in this country.

[APPLAUSE]

My father, a hard-working bartender, used to tell me all the time : En este pais, ustedes van a poder lograr todas las cosas que nosotros no pudimos. “In this country, you will achieve all the things we never could.”

I take the responsibilities I incur as the nominee of our party, I give you my word and I will keep it. We are tired of broken promises and depression. This election, like any other, must be about the future.

[APPLAUSE]

Barack Obama's big government policies that include high taxes and regulations weakened our people's purchasing power as well as our companies' ability to produce and hire, cost millions of jobs, offshored some of our jobs and companies overseas, made us more dependent on foreign oil, reduced our economic competitiveness through protectionism and raised our deficit at almost 20 trillion $.

The next President must take the responsibility of restoring the American Dream and our economic prosperity by lowering taxes for all the American people to reinforce their purchasing power as well as consumption, a great element of economic growth, by leading us to energy independence through taking advantage of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar and renewable energies, by promoting free trade to reduce tariffs and the cost of trading and to make us competitive in the global economy, by reforming our education system through school choice and giving Americans the necessary skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow, by balancing the budget and reducing the deficit through job creation and increased wages, by championing businesses to encourage innovation, production, progress and job creation and by developing our infrastructures through a part of future budget surpluses in order to encourage the implementation of new businesses here in the United States, a country that will reclaim his status as the best place in the world to open a new business and to prosper. Unlike Hillary Clinton, I will take this responsibility. And I will campaign to repeal Obamacare and replace it by a better health care reform that will make health care more accessible to more Americans through reforms that will lower costs in the health care industry, which will reinforce the world's best medical care quality. As a member of the US Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, I know what it takes to create jobs, to grow this economy and bring prosperity back to America.

[APPLAUSE]

Barack Obama's weak foreign policy made the world more dangerous than ever before. Terrorism has expanded in the Middle East and North Africa and jihadists multiplied their cowardly terrorist attacks against our allies and against us, including in Garland and San Bernardino. Iran is closer than ever before from getting nuclear weapons, North Korea seeks to trigger an arms race and a nuclear war on the Pacific, China is violating South China Sea's territorial integrity just as Russia is doing for Eastern Europe in addition of supporting tyrannical regimes like Bachar al-Assad's that is undermining peace, stability and freedom in the Middle East.

The next President must take the responsibility of keeping our country as well as the whole world safe, which means restructuring our security measures, our intelligence, our diplomacy and our military, standing with our allies by reinforcing and expanding our alliances. I will do it by reinforcing our alliances, using all the necessary military force to fight and defeat international terrorism and securing strategic zones in the world in order to prevent wars from triggering, to ensure stability as well as peace through strength and to defend territorial integrity. Unlike Hillary Clinton, I will take this responsibility with courage, conviction, patriotism and determination.

[APPLAUSE]

My fellow Americans, November 8 2016 will mark a new beginning for our country. November 8 2016 will mark the beginning of a New American Century that will bring great and decisive change for our country and a future that will lead us to permanent economic prosperity, stronger national and international security and stronger national unity here on the land of opportunity and we need this future right here right now and we will campaign over the next few months all across this beautiful and formidable country to make sure that you will earn this bright future.

Gracias. God bless you all. God bless the United States of America.
