Carlos Gutiérrez does not live in the 23rd district. He's a neighbor of my cousins in the 27th district, two hours south.

PS I love this TL

Unless Gutiérrez would have changed residence in this timeline in order to challenge Schultz.

And thank you very much. This is my first timeline and I think it will be my best one ever. Smiley

Technically he’s fine either way. Constitutionally you just have to live in the state of the district to run, not the district

2018 Senate Ads in May 2018

Club for Growth Action senatorial ad in Ohio :

Narrator : Throughout his political career, Sherrod Brown has voted over and over again against the interests of hard working families and business.

He voted against the Small Business Tax Fairness Act of 2000 that reduced taxes on small business and increased the minimum wage while we all know that most of the jobs created come from small businesses. He voted over 35 times in favor of raising taxes on Social Security, on small businesses and on hard working families, including middle class families. He voted for Medicare taxes on seniors citizens.

In 2012, Senator Brown voted against the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act that cut regulatory burdens on small and medium-sized businesses making it easier for them to raise capital and create jobs.

But John Kasich has the experience and proven reputation of fighting for Ohio's workers and taxpayers.

When he became Governor, while Ohio was ranked as the 48th state in terms of job creation due to his predecessor's tax increases and support to the War on Coal, Kasich brought this state back on track by cutting taxes by billions for all Ohioans and by eliminating income taxes for small-business owners, which made Ohio a stronger business-friendly environment and encouraged job creation through free enterprise and free market, which brought Ohio's unemployment rate from 10.3 % in 2010 to 4 % this year in 2018. As former Chair of the House Budget Committee, he knows what it takes to balance. No wonder that he did it as Ohio Governor not only once but twice.

With the election of John Kasich in the U.S. Senate, we'll ensure that the effects of the Rubionomics, that created over 6 million jobs in the last 2 years and brought the national unemployment rate from 5.4 % to 3.8 % (the lowest rate since 1970) thanks to small government, lower taxes, energy independence, free trade and championship of small businesses, will bring America, including Ohio, to full employment and permanent prosperity. Join this fight for America's prosperity by electing John Kasich to the U.S. Senate.

Crossroads GPS senatorial ad in Indiana :

Narrator : While Joe Donnelly claims to be an independent and fiscally responsible politician, his record tells another story. During his time in the House of Representatives, he came forward at one time to say he wanted to reduce the inheritance tax, however the first time he had a chance to repeal it, he voted against it. The first time he ran for office, he claimed to be a fiscal conservative, but since then he voted to raise the deficit 7 times.

He voted against tax breaks for the middle class. He also supported Dodd-Frank that made big banks bigger that eviscerated small businesses and small banks since it wiped out 40 % of small and mid-size banks that loan money to small businesses, which cost millions of jobs.

Indiana deserves better than Donnelly's big government folly. Mike Pence is the candidate we need to defend the interests of taxpayers and Indiana's hardworking families. As Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence cut the income tax by 5 percent and killed the inheritance tax. By signing Senate Bill 1, he permitted Indiana counties to eliminate the business personal property tax on new equipment and let them exempt small businesses with less than $20,000 worth of equipment from paying personal property taxes. And as Senator, Mike Pence will keep putting Indiana's taxpayers first by promoting fiscal conservatism, free enterprise and free market through small government, lower taxes and business championing for the sake of a strong economy, strong families and strong America.

Right now, our nation is stronger than ever before. Throughout the last 2 years, we grew our economy through lower taxes, small government, promotion of oil drilling and energy development, promotion of free trade and school choice and the restoration of America's status as the best place in the world to do business. America is now safer than ever before. By reinforcing our homeland security as well as the FBI's counter-terrorism budget, by increasing our defense budget, reinforcing and modernizing our military and our alliances by striking terrorists wherever they are and by arming the right groups in the Middle East through background checks, we eradicated ISIS and Al Qaida in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen and our troops killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. There is still work to do and accomplishing that duty to keep America safe and prosperous partly requires reinforcing our majority in the Senate by adding strong foreign policy experience and knowledge there. The President describes all of John James' background as important pillars of the American Dream as well as the experience needed in a senator in order to make sure that America will keep moving forward through the adoption of pro-growth and business-friendly laws promoting lower taxes and small government as well as bills aimed at keeping America's military and national security strong in order to defeat global terrorism.

During this rally, he also attacked Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin on her vote in favor of raising taxes by $5 trillion and on her support to higher income taxes, sales taxes and energy taxes. President Rubio stated that his foreign policy towards Africa will boost America's competitiveness in the region through the increase of U.S. investments there, which will be done thanks to partnerships between the U.S. Department of Treasury and private companies. Since his Administration's tax cuts for America's agricultural businesses helped them to innovate and manufacture more agricultural products and technologies and thus reduced food prices through the reduction of inflation, he declared that America's agricultural projects will be more successful and help America to surpass China on this sector. He also stated that the end of the War on Coal as well as the promotion of clean coal technologies as well as America's rapid path to energy thanks to the promotion of oil drilling and production (which also reduced energy prices in the USA and reinforced American consumers' purchasing power), the United States' investments in the construction of coal plants and other energy infrastructures in Africa will surpass China's. President Rubio also pledged to reinforce economic and trade ties with African countries and to fight for the promotion of democracy, freedom and human rights in this continent. He also declared that the fight against AIDS as well as against radical Islamic terrorism will be another priority of his foreign policy towards Africa and that terrorism will be defeated thanks to the increase of America's military and intelligence efforts, notably a multiplication of the number of U.S. drone bases in Africa and the provision of U.S. military, material and intelligence support for African countries' armed forces.

2018 Senate Ads in August 2018

NRSCC senatorial ad in Ohio :

Narrator : Sherrod Brown is weak when it comes to foreign policy.

Even after 9/11, the deadliest attack that was orchestrated against our country, Sherrod Brown voted against establishing the Department of Homeland Security, a measure that reinforced our national security and prevented further terrorist attacks against us until the previous administration's failed foreign policy that weakened our security measures, cut in the military and increasingly withdrew us from the fight against radical Islamic terrorism, gave us ISIS who attacked us in our national soil in Garland, San Bernardino, Philadelphia and Orlando.

While we all know that Iran was using the revenues from the lifting of the sanctions to develop nuclear weapons and to sponsor, fund and arm terrorist groups around the world, Sherrod Brown voted NO on describing the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist group even though the Quds Force, a special forces unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, is arming the Taliban, the same radical Islamic terrorists that gave refuge to Osama Bin Laden, the perpetrator of the 9/11 attacks, in Afghanistan.

Sherrod Brown, wrong on national security.

But John Kasich has a clear foreign policy experience and knowledge required in a Senator. He served in the House Armed Services Committee for 18 years and he knows what it takes to make sure that President Rubio's successful foreign policy will keep reinforcing America's national security.

Since 2 years, President Rubio kept us safe by reinforcing our defense budget, our homeland security and our alliances, by arming the right groups in the Middle East through background checks, by taking on terrorists' oil refineries and by deploying all the necessary troops in Syria and Iraq to fight and defeat ISIS. As a result, ISIS is eradicated in both of these countries as well as in Yemen and Afghanistan and our troops found and killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. And by abolishing Obama's Iran nuclear deal, we deprived Iran of capitals aimed at developing nuclear weapons and at sponsoring terrorist groups around the world.

Let's elect John Kasich to the U.S. Senate in order to keep our military, our national security, our alliances as well as American leadership strong and in order to get us to America's total victory against radical Islamic terrorism for the sake of peace, stability, freedom, justice and security.

Americans for Prosperity senatorial ad in Wisconsin :

Narrator : It seems like the harder we work, the more Washington takes from us. Senators like Tammy Baldwin are the problem.

Baldwin voted for $5 trillion in new taxes and she voted 5 times to raise our taxes. Baldwin supported higher income taxes, sales taxes and even energy taxes in her attempt to rig the system against us, standing in the way of more jobs and higher wages.

Mark Green is the only candidate in this race who is determined to defend our workers and our prosperity. He is a former senior director of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, a nonprofit organization that has the mission to advocate a higher International Affairs Budget in order to enhance national security and move forward American business interests and to help put in place the building blocks to allow U.S. companies to expand their exports, reach new markets, and create more jobs here at home. Mark Green knows how to balance a budget, how to create jobs, fight reckless government spending and to protect taxpayers here at home.

He will do it by supporting bills aimed at promoting lower taxes and regulations, smaller government, promoting energy independence through taking advantage of all of our sources of energy, encouraging free trade in order to increase America's competitiveness in the world economy and reinforcing America's status as the best place in the world to do business.

So in order to ensure the continuation of the success of President Rubio's pro-growth economic policies and to get America to full employment through the promotion of free enterprise and free market, vote for Mark Green.

Marco Rubio's Presidency
September 2018, Part 1
President Rubio's job approval rating :
Approve : 68 %
Disapprove : 26 %
Unsure : 6 %

September 1 :

-President Rubio and First Lady Jeanette Rubio arrive in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where the First Lady of the United States is about to give a speech on the cause she selected, which is women rights, just like her predecessors increasingly selected specific causes to promote, especially Michelle Obama who became identified with supporting military families and tackling childhood obesity, Laura Bush who supported women's rights groups and encouraged childhood literacy, Nancy Reagan who founded the Just Say No drug awareness campaign and supported embryonic stem cell research after Ronald Reagan's death, etc. Here are some parts of the First Lady of the United States' speech :

Thank you everybody.

I came here not only as First Lady but also as a wife and as a mother to talk about what unites us as human beings. Here we are, in the 21st century, a century of promise, opportunity and freedom. These are the results of a long list of progress made in the last century. In the last century, so many people, especially women, black people and peoples that suffered colonial opression, were living in the dark of unfairness, injustice and opression. But thanks to the courage, determination and persistance of so many people willing to spend their lives for what is right, especially Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Aung San Su Kyi, Rosa Parks, etc., over 70 new sovereign states obtained their independence and their freedom, women around the world along with other racial groups obtained the right to vote, to work, to fight for their country and to earn the same opportunities that previous generations didn't have. As a result, societies around the world became more prosperous and stronger thanks to a larger workforce and to the addition of hardworking skills. So many men and women in uniform fought and sacrificed their lives in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan in order to combat jihadism for the sake of the defense of security, democracy, human rights, freedom, gender equity, justice and freedom of religion.

There are still restrictions on women rights in the world. So we have to understand that freedom is far from coming free. We have to remember that one of the main reasons why France won the Hundred Years' War (1337-1453) against England while there was almost no hope of victory is because of the courage and determination of a young woman named Joan of Arc. Thanks to her charisma, leadership and military genius, she restored hope and she led France to decisive victories in Orleans, Reims and Paris, which eventually led France to final victory. We also have to remember that during the 2 World Wars, while millions of men were deployed around the world to fight the enemy and to fight opression and terror, women had to take over the responsibilities to work in stores, factories and plants, to earn the salary needed to raise and feed their families and even to work weapons facilities where they manufactured military arsenal and material in order to provide all the necessary war effort to ensure our victory against the Third Reich and other Axis powers.

So the bottom line is, every single human being, man, woman, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hinduist, etc. are all born equal and free and they are all born to be free and to have the same rights. All human beings, including women are great contributors to justice, security and prosperity because they are all fighting for what is right. These are all values defended by my husband President Marco Rubio and by myself. No wonder that he selected a woman (Nikki Haley) to be his running mate and to be Vice-President of the United States due to her leadership skills. No wonder that the main priorities of my husband's leadership is to fight and defeat opression and terror for the sake of the values that are elements of freedom, gender equity, tolerance, religious freedom and freedom of speech. That's why we are calling for action to ensure a stronger respect of women rights around the world because that's the right way to make it safer, free and prosperous and to make sure that all those who fought for liberty and justice will not be dead in vain.

Thank you. God bless you all.

[Crowd loudly cheers and applauds]

Calling on the people of Florida to mobilize and vote for Scott, the President also declared that Scott's service in the U.S. Navy demonstrates that he understands how to improve veterans' living conditions and to keep America safe through a strong military and strong counterterrorism efforts.

September 8 :

-President Rubio campaigns for Florida Republican gubernatorial nominee Adam Putnam in Miami, Florida. Here are some parts of President Rubio's speech :

Here's why Florida needs Adam Putnam. He wants Florida to be a place where everyone can all prosper and succeed. Adam understands that this is only possible with a strong economy. Working on his family’s citrus and cattle farm taught him that business is not just business. It’s personal. He knows what ramifications government regulations can have on Florida farms and small businesses. Meanwhile, his opponent Andrew Gillum seeks to increase Floridians' fiscal burden because he believes that America's economy is strong because of big government that taxes more, regulates more and spends more. Gillum's agenda is a job-killer. Our economy is strong because of the ingenuity and entrepreneurship and hard work of the American people. And in the last 2 years we proved it by cutting taxes for all the American people, by encouraging oil drilling and energy production, by promoting free trade and by making America the best place in the world to do business through reducing the fiscal burden on businesses across the country, including small businesses, and through a reduction of our corporate tax rate from 40 % to 20 %. As a result, we created 9 million new jobs and brought the national unemployment rate from 5.4 % to 3.5 %, which is the lowest rate since 50 years. Thanks to the election of conservative governors, job growth will further accelerate through lower taxes, small government and promotion of free enterprise. That is why Adam Putnam is committed to cutting taxes and eliminating burdensome regulations in order to strengthen the economy, create jobs, and put more money back in Floridians’ pockets.

-The Congress adopts a bill promoting a national stand-your-ground law in order to defend the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense, which is later signed into law by President Rubio.

2018 Senate Ads in September 2018

Jeff Flake's senatorial ad in Arizona :

Narrator : Kyrsten Sinema's record demonstrated that she doesn't have any idea of what it takes to keep America safe.

Even after 9/11, the deadliest attack that was orchestrated against our country, she has said that military action is an inappropriate response to terrorism. She doesn't understand that military action as well as stronger U.S. military has allowed America to defeat Al Qaida in Afghanistan and to kill Osama Bin Laden.

On June 19 2014, while ISIS was occupying 70 % of Iraq's territory, Congresswoman Sinema supported H Amdt 908 - Prohibits United States Combat Operations in Iraq to adopt an amendment to that prohibited the use of funds needed for the purposes of conducting combat operations in Iraq.

She opposed the H Amdt 905 that prohibited the use of funds for the transfer or release of any terrorist detained at Guantanamo Bay to his country of origin or to any other foreign country, which would have allowed Guantanamo terrorists to be on the run once again and to commit terrorist attacks against America and its allies. No wonder that Congresswoman Sinema has no foreign policy experience.

Kyrsten Sinema, wrong on national security and wrong on defense.

Thanks to President Rubio's strong foreign policy, we increased the FBI's counter-terrorism budget, we reinforced our homeland security measures, increased our defense budget, reinforced and modernized our military, strengthened and expanded our alliances, we armed the right Middle Eastern groups through background checks, we deployed all the necessary troops in Syria and Iraq to go after radical Islamic terrorists, we striked them wherever they were hiding with our military power, we recaptured all of ISIS' territory and we killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

We also defeated ISIS and Al Qaida in Afghanistan and Pakistan thanks to the combination of America's and India's military powers.

And by abolishing the Iran nuclear deal, we deprived Iran of the necessary revenues from the lifting of the sanctions to develop nuclear weapons and to sponsor terrorist groups around the world.

President Rubio's foreign policy leadership is heading us in the right direction. Unlike Kyrsten Sinema, Senator Jeff Flake, a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, has the experience and knowledge to keep America safe. He knows that this is only possible with a strong U.S. military, strong security measures, strong alliances and strong American leadership. Jeff Flake will approve all the necessary measures to keep us safe, to defeat radical Islamic terrorism, to get America and its allies to total victory against terrorists and to restore international stability and peace through strength for the sake of our freedom and our security.

Jeff Flake, the legislator Arizona needs for a strong, free and safe America.

Jeff Flake : I'm Jeff Flake and I approve this message.

John James senatorial ad in Michigan :

Narrator : Michigan has a choice to make.

On one hand, there is Debbie Stabenow whose record has weakened America's national security through her support to Obama's Iran nuclear deal that handed billions of dollars to the biggest state sponsor of terrorism and allowed them to fund and arm terrorist organizations. In addition, on June 2015, she voted in favor of the USA FREEDOM Act of 2015 that weakened our security measures and allowed radical Islamic terrorists to attack us in San Bernardino 6 months later because we did not have access to records, information and other items under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act that would have allowed us to identify these killers before they attacked. She even opposed military action against ISIS,which is exactly what helped us to eradicate ISIS in Iraq and Syria to find and kill Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Senator Stabenow is also a champion of the promotion of job-killing tax and regulation increases. She opposed the Small Business Tax Fairness Act of 2000 that reduced taxes on small business and increased the minimum wage, which encouraged job creation, opportunity and fairness for workers. Even though 7 jobs out of 10 are created in small businesses, Stabenow supported Dodd-Frank that eviscerated small businesses and small banks by wiping out 40 % of small and mid-size banks that loan money to small businesses. And last November, she voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that established the biggest tax cuts in history for all the American people, including the middle class and lower income Americans, and doubled the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000, which allowed hard-working families to prosper.

But on the other hand, there is John James, an outsider who knows how to make sure that America will keep moving forward in this time of economic prosperity and declining terrorist threat.

John James is a combat veteran who went on to serve with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom during which, along with his fellow his brothers in arms, fought terrorism and tyranny. He knows that America's national security is only possible with a strong U.S. military, strong alliances and strong American leadership. That's exactly the agenda he will promote.

Then he became a businessman as well as the CEO of his family's business James Group International, a supply chain business that has the mission to manage and optimize our customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes by designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. He has led the company from $35 million to $137 million in revenue while creating over 100 additional jobs in Michigan and around the country since 2012. He has the experience to create jobs and reinforce the American Dream. As Senator, he will put Michigan taxpayers first. He knows that America's economic strength comes from the promotion of free enterprise and free market, low taxes, small government, energy independence, free trade and reinforcement of America's status as the best place in the world to do business.

This is a background and experience that clearly makes John James the most qualified candidate to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate. So for the sake of the continuation of America's progress, prosperity, national security and strength, vote for John James.

John James : I'm John James and I approve this message.

Don't make this a Republican-wank.

I don't see it quite as a Republican-wank Timeline.

Despite the Presidents Approvals Democrats won in New Jersey.
Rauner is going to lose in Illinois Governor 2018 Race I think. There will be some other States in 2018 where Republicans win the Senate Races and Democrats the Governor Races because Candidates matter.

What President Rubio is doing is making the Republican Party more diverse which Republicans should have done in real time.

I absolutely love this Timeline

Thanks UWS.

If this is what happened irl I'd probably still be Republican

In reaction, President Rubio accused Vladimir Putin of state-sponsoring terrorism.

October 7 :

-In the context of Russia's missile sales to Iran, Secretary of State Lindsey Graham arrives in Istanbul, Turkey where he meets discusses issues with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. October 8 :
-Vice-President Haley campaigns for Greg Gianforte in Montana where she praises his business experience while attacking Jon Tester's record on energy, including his opposition to the development of natural gas off the coast of Virginia and of oil shale resources on public lands as well as his support to the War on Coal despite the fact that that Montana is America's 7th coal producer among the 50 U.S. states and that coal generates 53 % of Montana's electricity.

-Secretary Graham meets with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Azerbaijan where they discussed secrurity and counter-terrorism.
