On the campaign trail

Inflamed Fight in St. Louis

According to all the media and most of the T.V. watchers, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, the Republican presidential nominee, performed better than his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.

During the town-hall debate in St. Louis, Missouri, the two candidates clashed mostly on healthcare, energy and foreign policy. The Florida Senator successfully rebuked Hillary Clinton's accusations claiming that Republicans see all the Muslims as the enemy by responding that the only Muslims that are America's enemies is the « dangerous extremist minority called radical Islamic terrorists » in addition of slamming the former Secretary of State for not using that term to define terrorists. He also scored points during the debate by arguing that encouraging oil drilling and renewable energy without hurting the environment is possible, citing Norway's example, and by warning that keeping Bashar al-Assad in power in Syria will contribute to further terrorist threat because of the Syrian regime's brutal repressions that will « push many people there to radicalization and encourage them to convert to radical Islamic terrorism », a similar situation that happened in Egypt after the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi. Several undecided voters watching that debate thought that Rubio demonstrated better foreign policy judgement than Clinton for calling for background checks on Syrian rebels before arming them in order to avoid unwillingly arming terrorists pretending to be moderate rebels. But pundits also thought Clinton's debate performance improved a little since the first debate.

Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton are preparring to fight ahead of the third and final presidential debate that will be set in Las Vegas on October 19 2016.

The Battle of Mosul begins

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announces the start of the Battle of Mosul, backed by the U.S.-led coalition, to retake ISIL-held Mosul, the self-declared caliphate's capital in Iraq. So if the city is taken by the Iraqi forces, ISIS will be much more aweaken and disorganized and local ISIS fighters' connections with Syria are likely to be cut.
So assuming that the Hillary emails gets reopened then Rubio should be able to win
Delaware,New Jersey,Virginia,Oregon,Washington,Connecticut and maybe 2 out of these Illinois,Massachusetts,Rhodeisland,Hawaii,California and New York

We'll have to see whether an October surprise will determine the issue of the presidential race in favor of one of the two candidates.
I sense some serious foreshadowing...
I knew it was too good to be true Sad

Don't worry. It will be the reopening of the FBI investigation on Hillary Clinton's emails.
I think I smell a republican wave coming on the west coast, southwest, rust belt, northeast and record numbers in the south Cheesy

Wonder what People Rubio has in his mind for his Administration? Will Jeb Bush get a Cabinet Slot?

Maybe for an office related to education.
I just have to say that is a great election night.

ELECTION NIGHT 2016
Part 9

CNN's America's Choice Music Theme : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uvpd4myQXs

1:30 am

Wolf Blitzer : At 1:30 am, we can project that Hillary Clinton narrowly wins the state of Virginia, the home state of her running mate Senator Tim Kaine. She also wins the state of Maine, except for Maine's second congressional district, which is won by President-elect Rubio with a 8 percentage point margin.

Virginia - 95 % reported
Hillary Clinton : 50 % ✔
Marco Rubio : 49 %

Maine - 95 % reported
Hillary Clinton : 51 % ✔
Marco Rubio : 47 %

Maine 2nd Congressional District- 80 % reported
Marco Rubio : 53 % ✔
Hillary Clinton : 45 %

2 am

Wolf Blitzer : And finally, at 2 am, we can project that Marco Rubio, future President of the United States, will narrowly win the state of New Jersey, becoming the first Republican to win in this Democratic stronghold since 1988.

New Jersey - 98 % reported
Marco Rubio : 49 % ✔
Hillary Clinton : 48 %

Wolf Blitzer : So now we have the official results. Marco Rubio will be elected as the 45th President of the United States of America with 354 electoral votes, 36 states and 53 % of the popular vote over Hillary Clinton's 184 electoral votes, 14 states and 45 % of the popular vote. So that's what concludes Election Night 2016 and all the 2016 Presidential campaign. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen for watching the coverage of Election Night 2016 and I wish you good night.

Electoral College 2016

Marco Rubio : 354 electoral votes, 53 % of the vote ✔
Hillary Clinton : 184 electoral votes, 45 % of the vote
270 needed to win
The biggest story Rubio is first republican since Nixon to win the state of Minnesota.
I really think that Virginia should have gone for Rubio considering he won New Jersey a much bluer state then Virginia.

Marco Rubio's Presidency
January 2017

January 20 :

-Marco Rubio takes the Oath of Office and becomes the 45th President of the United States and the first Hispanic to occupy this office while Nikki Haley becomes 48th Vice-President of the United States and the first woman and first Asian-American to occupy this office.

-President Marco Rubio issues Executive Order 13765 to repeal and replace Obamacare.

January 22 :
-President Rubio speaks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, saying that the United States remains committed to their relationship and to continue military assistance to Egypt, discussing ways the United States could support Egypt's economic reform program.

-President Rubio calls Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss Iran, ISIS, and the Israeli–Palestinian peace process.

January 24 :

-President Rubio signs three memoranda. Two of them approve the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and of the Dakota Access pipeline, which will create 110 000 jobs. The third memoranda cut a deal with TransCanada to make sure that the pipelines will be built with American steel. These measures will pass both houses of Congress due to the strong Republican majority with 246 Republican seats in the House of Representatives and 56 Republican seats in the Senate.

January 25 :
-President Rubio issues Executive Order 13767 directing the Department of Homeland Security to finish the construction of 700 miles of fencing and walls America needs to secure the borders, to hire 20 000 new border agents and to establish and to establish a mandatory E-verify as well as a mandatory entry/exit tracking system in order to bring illegal immigration under control and to put in place background checks on Syrian refugees before allowing them to enter the United States, which will help America to keep ISIS fighters hidden among Syrian refugees out of its territory, thus avoiding terrorist attacks in the United States.

January 26 :
-President Rubio proclaims the start of National School Choice Week

-President Rubio holds a bilateral meeting and joint press conference with British Prime Minister Theresa May at the White House, where they discuss sanctions on Russia, NATO, terrorism, US torture policy and trade policy, all of which are issues they both agree on. May is the first foreign leader to visit Rubio since his inauguration.

January 27 :
-President Rubio issues Executive Order 13768 that the the United States remains committed to the Transpacific Partnership in order to ensure America's competitiveness in the world economy through lower tariffs, increase of American exports and the continuation of America's quest for open markets in the world. In order to make sure that free trade deals, including the TPP and NAFTA will be fairer for America, the Rubio Administration also includes a reduction of America's corporate tax rate from 40 % to 20 % as well as tax cuts for America's manufacturing industry, which will make America much more competitive in the Asia-Pacific region, make America a more business-friendly environment and bring American manufacturing jobs back home, thus encouraging job creation in the United States.

January 28 :
-President Rubio issues Executive Order 13769 to establish his plan to defeat ISIS within 3 years and another one calling for increase of America's defense budget in order to expand, reinforce and modernize the U.S. military.

January 29 :
-President Rubio announces he will continue to enforce Executive Order 13672, signed by former President Obama in 2014 that established legal protections for LGBT workers.

-President Rubio issues Executive Order 13770 to cut taxes and regulations on all the American people, including the Middle Class, and for businesses, including small businesses, in addition of reducing the cost of doing business in the United States in order to make America the best place in the world to do business.

January 31 :

-President Marco Rubio nominates Utah Senator Mike Lee as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court to fill the vacancy left by Antonin Scalia, who died in February 2016. Due to the Republican majority in the Senate is likely to earn a Senate hearing.
I so wish this was a real timeline:,( and this all really happened.

Don't make this a Republican-wank.

I don't see it quite as a Republican-wank Timeline.

Despite the Presidents Approvals Democrats won in New Jersey.
Rauner is going to lose in Illinois Governor 2018 Race I think. There will be some other States in 2018 where Republicans win the Senate Races and Democrats the Governor Races because Candidates matter.

What President Rubio is doing is making the Republican Party more diverse which Republicans should have done in real time.

I absolutely love this Timeline

Thanks UWS.

Thank you.

My pleasure UWS!

Interestingly looking at your Timeline you have listened Mark Green running in Wisconsin against Baldwin but wouldn't be Governor Scott Walker a better Candidate? I don't think Green can beat Baldwin. I imagine Walker doesn't want to give up his Governor gig unless that Seat can be retained. Maybe President Rubio needs to fly over to Madison, WI (where he announced Haley as VP Pick in 2016) to persuade Walker to run. With his high Approvals nothing to lose here and I do think now that we have 2018 the President & his Campaign Team need to get more involved in this...maybe handpick some Candidates.

In the Florida Governor Race similarly I don't think Putnam can beat a conservative Blue Dog like Gwen Graham. Graham represented a very conservative Northern Florida House District from 2015-2017 but chosed not to run for Re-Election in 2016 to run for Governor in 2018.
The old Florida 2 was not a republican seat it was a swing seat, the court made it into a solid republican seat.
