Looking at Spark's grades reminds me how nice it was to go to a college without pluses and minuses.  It's a lot less stressful going into finals when you can say, "Well, to get a B in the class, I need to get somewhere between 38% and 95% on the final."  Without all those smaller gradations, it generally didn't matter a whole lot how I did on my finals.

Christ I don't feel like going back to my transcript for all my college grades and high school would be impossible to find.

These are my grades from this past semester though:

GOVT 215 - The American Presidency - B
ENGL 317 - Editing For Publication - B
ENGL 311 - Advanced Composition - B+
MUSI 263 - Love Songs Through The Ages - A

I'm 52 y.o., and the only grades that I can remember getting are the A's I got in high school Chemistry as well as college-level Chemistry.
Those facts are important to me now, as I am seriously thinking about going back to school to get a degree in pharmacology; I think the most appropriate career change for me now is to become a pharmacist.

From Secondary school:

Year 7
Semester 1: Everything C, except IT, which was B
Semester 2:
History, Art, IT, Japanese: B
Everything else: C

Year 8:
SEM 1: C across the board
SEM 2:
English: C
Math: B+
Science, Arts: C
Technology: B
Japanese: A

Year 9:
SEM 1:
History: B
English: C
Photography: B
Japanese: A
Technology: C
Math: C
Physics: B

SEM 2:
Photography: C
Science: C+ (this would have been an A, but I missed some very important assignments due to being in Japan)
Geography: A
Japanese: A
ICT: B
PE: C
Math: E (Quadratics and Algebra can go die in a f[inks]ing hole)

YEAR 10:

SEM 1:
ICT: C
Japanese: A+
Math: C
PE: A
Science (Chem): A
English: B

SEM 2: (my best semester, in terms of results)
English: A
Math: C+
Economics: A+
Japanese: A+
Physics: A
Legal Studies: B

Year 11 semester 1 report is released mid June

Also, why is it so easy to get an A in the US? It just seems pointless to grade over there.

High school I got all A's.

College has been a mix, from A to B-.

My general experience is that CS classes are graded more harshly (with the exception of the first couple of intro courses), stats/math in the middle, and general ed the easiest, especially the economics courses.

too lazy to list the rest

Great idea! For middle/high school I can only remember my average grade starting in year 10, but not the final one. For the record, a passing grade here is a 5/10

"Middle/high school"

Year 10: 8.8/10
Year 11: 9.7/10
Year 12: 10/10

Yes, our grades did get quite inflated at my school, as the last 2 years are the only ones that count for university access.

University (Engineering).

All subjects passed first try (no need for the July repeats)

Year 1

Algebra: 6.5
Calculus I: 6.5
Physics: 8.9
Graphic Expression and Representation Systems: 7.1
Applied Geology: 9.0

Calculus II: 6.0
Physics II: 9.0
Computers and Programming: 9.8
Business Organization and Administration: 8.5
Technical English: 8.4

Year 2

Statistical methods in engineering: 8.5
Hydraulics and Hydrology: 7.0
Electrical Engineering: 7.1
Mechanics: 7.1
Topography: 8.0

Materials Resistence: 5.2
Science and Technology of materials: 8.6
Geotechnic and foundations: 8.6
Construction Technology I: 6.4

Year 3 (so far)

Theory of Structures: 10
Construction projects and handling: 5.5
Railroads: 7.5
Roads: 7.6

Pending:

Urban and transportation services
Transportation engineering
Roads II & Airports
Concrete and metallic structures

My current average is around 7.6, which is extremely high actually.

Best grades in college so far are Theory of Structures (extremely inflated considering I left 25% of the test blank lol) and Programming (extremely easy subject, made me wonder if I should have gone with computer science instead lol)

Closest calls to failure are Construction Projects (I found it quite hard, no idea why; though the teacher was one of the "easy to pass the class, hard to get a good grade" kind) and Resistence of Materials (Arguably the hardest subject in the entire degree; I was actually convinced I would fail, the test was surprisingly easy for the subject and even then I only got a bare pass. And thankfully as that class got a new teacher this year and it's now a lot harder)

A handful of others were close calls as well but I got a grade much higher than a bare pass, like the Graphic Representation one, where I actually got good grades in 2/3 tests but failed the last one (you were supposed to pass all 3). In the end I managed to convince the teacher to pass me.

I might not be so lucky this time though, as I expect to get my first failed class in my lifetime this semester, with Concrete and metallic structures. It's not 100% certain, but still very very likely. I will get it in the June/July retry though, so I won't have to retake the class

Also, apparently while here I am one of the best students in my degree probably; by Atlas standards I would be average at best and a bad student at worst lol

Also, is 59% really a failing grade in the US??? Oof

Lol, y'all blow me outta the water!

High School: 2.9

College: 3.0 (3.33 GPA in my major)

I remember being kinda jaded when I got to college and realized that my high school must have been considerably more difficult than some of these puff schools kids were coming from with their 4.33 GPAs, haha.  Didn't help that I took a lot of AP classes (which was awesome, come college!).

I was a A/B student in middle school, before getting all As in high school to this point (good for a 4.33 weighted GPA).

9th Grade
AP Calc AB
AP Music Theory
Lit + Comp 9/10
Social Studies 9
French I
STEM Chemistry
Engineering Intro

10th Grade (current)
AP Calc BC
AP Lang
APUSH
AP Physics I
French II
Choir
PE I (first semester) / Team Sports (this semester)

11th Grade
AP Gov
AP Lit
AP Bio
French III
Choir (unless I get mad at the teacher and drop it)
Criminal Law / Instrumental Music Studio (I think)
Linear Algebra at a different school (I think)

As of right now, I have a B in choir though (lol) and my second worst class is French II. For some reason.

I don't need Atlas doing #analysis on how much Wulfric knows about x, so I'll just release the main figures:

High School:

GPA: Approx 3.6
Rank: Approx 148 of 543

College:

Major GPA (POL S): 3.39
Overall GPA: 2.79

I'm not going there entirely, since I've seen the entire spectrum. I was mostly a B/C High School and Middle School, not too much interesting there. But college, that's when things got crazy.

Highest

A+ (101%)
GER 201, GERMAN III
Junior Year, College (2014)

Lowest

F (59%)
BIO 228, HUMAN ANATOMY
Freshman Year, College (2011)

So, uh, how exactly do you get a greater than 100% grade?

Also, is 59% really a failing grade in the US??? Oof

Yes Generally its like this

60%-69%: D
70%-79%: C
80%-89%: B
90%+ : A

The + and - to your grade varies between universities but this type of grade scale is what is normal.

I was a A/B student in middle school, before getting all As in high school to this point (good for a 4.33 weighted GPA).

9th Grade
AP Calc AB
AP Music Theory
Lit + Comp 9/10
Social Studies 9
French I
STEM Chemistry
Engineering Intro

10th Grade (current)
AP Calc BC
AP Lang
APUSH
AP Physics I
French II
Choir
PE I (first semester) / Team Sports (this semester)

11th Grade
AP Gov
AP Lit
AP Bio
French III
Choir (unless I get mad at the teacher and drop it)
Criminal Law / Instrumental Music Studio (I think)
Linear Algebra at a different school (I think)

As of right now, I have a B in choir though (lol) and my second worst class is French II. For some reason.

Dude. You are a genius.

I don't remember high school that well, so I won't bother listing.

Off the top of my head though

Multivariable Calculus: A
Differential Equations: A
Linear Algebra: A
Advanced Classical Mechanics: A
Electricity&Magnetism: A
Introduction to Political Science: D (i, uh, tried to do a little something something with the female prof to boost my grade but it barely worked)

too lazy to list the rest

oops I actually got a B with poli sci, I just made a freudian slip with the other letter I put in there lol

High school GPA was like a 4.6 and a straight 4 unweighted, college GPA around 3.6

It's interesting my high school GPA was pretty poor compared to my college GPA

High School: 3.25 (weighted)
Junior College: 3.81 (business major)
Undergraduate: 3.53 (finance major)
Graduate school: 3.9
