Lets just say I got 3.2 in both engineering school and law school. Some my grades were pretty embarrassing.

This is just going to keep getting bumped, isn't it? Ah well, I definitely posted in an old Update thread when I was a significantly more neurotic creature, so I'm probably not sharing new information.

High School: 4.62 on a 4.3=A scale (due to mandatory four years of non-honors Phys Ed, the relative maximum achieved by the top two in the class was approximately 5.07). #19/552

Undergrad: 3.91 with B in Intro Theology, B+ in Intro Business (lol) and B+ in Intro Business Law (thanks pneumonia) | 4.0 Econ/Finance GPA | #1/~200 and #~3/~250, respectively

Grad/B-School: Ask in 4 years! The trend says 3.2 and my educational motivation probably does too Tongue

I dont remember high school but i finished college summa cum laude by gaming the system

How so?

1) Taking a bunch of CLEP and DSST exams which wouldnt transfer with a grade that would affect by GPA but increase my credit requirement
2) Taking online courses at a local community college and transferring it into the University without telling either one I was attending another college. Transferring it would exclude the grade and not contribute to my GPA but would pad my credit requirements.
3) Using Rate my professor to strategically pick the easiest bullshiit classes
4) Finding out my professors biases and just writing them what they wanted to hear. I've gone drinking with some of my college professors. I figured if they liked me enough...they would grade me on a curve.

Didn't end up posting my June/July subjects so here they are now lol. And yes I had the first failure in my entire life and I have to retake the subject (and pay 270€, yikes!)

June 2019

Urban and transportation services 7.4/10
Transportation engineering 7.5/10
Roads II & Airports 6.2/10
Concrete and metallic structures: "Didn't attend" for the first try; 4.0/10 for the July retry

Basically I didn't even turn in the required projects on time. I did turn it in on the July extended deadline, and still failed.

For what's worth the passing grades for that subject were abysmal. Only 4/25 people passed on the first deadline, and literally no one (out of like 15 people) passed on the July retry

This probably lowers my average somewhat, though I guess I remain a solid C student. Which by Spanish engineering standards is amazing tbh, I still passed almost everything first try lol

Are US universities easier or is Atlas full of super smart people? Never seen so many high grades lol

Are US universities easier or is Atlas full of super smart people? Never seen so many high grades lol

You see, we have a system where people are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to be handed a piece of paper, and a bunch of people who have been handed everything in life whine to their instructors if things are anything less than a B, and instructors have to make grading softer and softer to deal with less complaints from paying customers. The customer is always right. There is no differentiation for the top half.

Teachers would often hand out the midterm explaining that the median was 72 or something, but you know those kids will still find a way to buy their B.

Almost 90 percent of grades are 'A' or 'B' at private institutions. All you need to know.

I saw a bot look at this thread so I decided to bump this:

My GPA is at 3.4792 for this quarter which means I have officially failed at being Asian.  Tongue Thankfully they aren't like my grades from last year which were absolutely horrid.

Tbh my GPA is because I am lazy and I don't submit assignments correctly or sometimes don't do them and because I would rather talk to people on Snap or read some article than study.

It still is funny seeing people think I am this person who gets very good grades when shocker, I don't.

My BSc was all the dead science's.

Geology
Physics
Calculus
Chemistry

The closest thing to a living being would have been long chain carbohydrates in Organic Chemisty.

Mainly a numerical being. I can solve problems by formulating things into solvable mathematical and physical templates. Then project the results onto planes in 3D space that no one at work knows how to do.

Subsurface modelling of the Earth is something that Elon Musk should get into. When he lands on Mars, he will need resources.

I had Straight A's as a kid because my dad would double check all of my homework.  Is that cheating?  One of my teachers thought so and told him to stop.  He didn't stop because he understood she was not going to move in with us to enforce that demand.

I had Straight A's as a kid because my dad would double check all of my homework.  Is that cheating?  One of my teachers thought so and told him to stop.  He didn't stop because he understood she was not going to move in with us to enforce that demand.

Wouldn't it have been cute if she DID move in though?
