Sure, then shortly after his landslide reelection in 2012, it will be discovered that Democratic operatives made a third rate burglarly attempt which he then tries to cover up.

Let's see....

Ultra close election involving a sitting vice president 8 years previous - check
US troops involved in a war of attrition with no obvious objectives or exit strategy - check.
American public highly divided - check

I wonder if history may be cyclical after all... Wink + Tongue

Don't care either way, if he runs good on him.

That link is fake. It says Freewebs in the link bar. I just found that out after I made a change to Al Gore's profile on the 2008 election page on Wikipedia showing a link to it.

It's not a good one. I posted about it on a few other forums before I found it was fake. Not funny, Tweed. You're such a prick.

combine populist Gore of 2000 and fresh, new ideas Gore of post-2000 election and he'll be pretty powerful.  He's just got to distance himself from DC.

I think it was Sununu who said it best - it was someone, anyway, who said that right now there are only, to the best of his knowledge, two people who weren't running. Ha! So when we look at '08 we need to talk right now about who won't be running as opposed to who will be.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see Gore jump in there. He won't be riding on Clinton's horse, so to speak, and he runs a great risk of getting himself lost in the shuffle as he struggles to figure out which face is most electable. I don't know, it remains to be seen, but if forced I'd probably take him over Hillary. He'll need a platform this time, that much is for sure, and it will need to be something beyond ranting.

If he runs, it'll be him or Hillary. I much prefer him. And he'll go all the way.

If he puts as much effort into his campaign as he put into his speech in last year's convention and speaks that same way, he can win. He gave a pretty good speech. I almost had to find out if he was on or off his prozac.

I agree. You like Gore too? Could this be a third thing we agree on?

I think this thread is proof that no one reads through threads before posting.  About 9 people have made serious posts after we have reveiled this is a hox.

Yeah, I realized it was fake when I got to this part:

That would be Carthage.  Though CNN pundits are horrible, they probably wouldn't get something like this wrong.

Me too. In fact, I was the first person to point out that it was fake. I like discussing Al Gore because I am the only person in the world who wants him to run for President.
