Interesting:

https://morningconsult.com/2018/10/10/americas-most-and-least-popular-senators-10-10/

Brand new approvals for all 100 senators, and Heidi is above Trump in net approval.

I'm absolutely sure Trump's approval is -5 in ND when Trump's approval is -7 in PA. /s

#realignment

In a world where Bill Nelson sweeps the Panhandle while Rick Scott carries Miami-Dade County, anything is possible.

Seriously though, Morning Consult is one of the junkiest pollsters ever. All their results should be flushed down the toilet.

It would certainly be something if Heitkamp pulled this out.

There's usually at least one big surprise in any election, and this is my current choice as the most likely one in the Senate.

Not the headline Heitkamp needs this close to the election.
Yes, she has apologized, I doubt it sticks though.

Yeah Heitkamp is done, she isn't going to make up a double digits deficit in a couple of weeks by leaking the names of domestic violence survivors

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/heitkamp-apologizes-for-misidentifying-sexual-assault-victims-in-newspaper-ad/2018/10/16/2af146e6-d169-11e8-83d6-291fcead2ab1_story.html?utm_term=.d18f59e5dfcd

Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, the most endangered Senate Democrat in next month’s midterm elections, apologized Tuesday for a newspaper ad that included names of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or rape without their permission.

The ad was fashioned as an open letter to Rep. Kevin Cramer, Heitkamp’s Republican opponent, criticizing comments he made during the confirmation process for Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.

In a statement Tuesday, Heitkamp (N.D.) said that her campaign “recently discovered that several of the women’s names who were provided to us did not authorize their names to be shared or were not survivors of abuse.”

“I deeply regret this mistake and we are in the process of issuing a retraction, personally apologizing to each of the people impacted by this and taking the necessary steps to ensure this never happens again,” the statement said.

The democrats are making so many mistakes with this issue that it may single handly destroy the blue wave.

They need to refous back to the issues.

Yikes. I can definitely see Cramer hammer this issue until the very end. Definitely not a good look.

But "the war on women" did wonders for them in 2014.

Atlas logic: Cramer saying stupid sexist things on a daily basis wont matter but Heitkamp apologizing for a wrongly produced  ad will doom her.

But doesn't this state also have like a 55% to 60% Trump approval rating?

Depends on who you ask. MC has Trump at negative approval here, while Gallup has it at around 55% last I checked.

There's no way on earth Trump has a negative approval rating in ND.

Regardless, my underlying point is that Atlas Logic is probably somewhat based on expectations of what the state thinks regarding this and assuming 55% is correct, that should tell you all you need to know.

I mean, I honestly wouldn't of expected it to be positive for the last 4-5 years? It's a Republican state and she won by only 1% so it's not like I expected her to have a +10 approval

This is not surprising. And this whole debacle over the sexual assault allegations, I believe, has only put her further in the hole.

Those around in 2017 know that I've always been bearish on Heitkamp's chances, but I always thought this would at least be close. Now, it's looking like she could actually get Kirk'd.

Wouldn't even surprise me if she got Blanched at this point. But yeah, I'm finding it hard to predict Cramer's victory margin.

Honestly, if you had told me in 2017 that Heitkamp would be down by double digits in polling one month before the election, I’d have predicted a GOP supermajority in the Senate in 2019. I was always incredibly bearish on the GOP's chances here.

I know that ND is cheap to advertise in but I still don't know why Democrats haven't triaged this race yet, especially when she could end up facing a lawsuit over this stunt
