*killed by an explosion along with most of his motorcade during his visit to Manila for the APEC forum, was deceived into driving over a bridge when faulty intelligence (later found to be linked to and masterminded by Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden) reported that there was a bomb planted elsewhere. This (instead of 9/11, which wouldn't happen due to all the heat on Al-Qaeda) results in a years-long manhunt for Bin Laden, however, this is not accomplished in Gore's presidency.
