Ben Carson releases supportive statement of Roy Moore. Strange situation, as Carson is the HUD secretary and is breaking with Trump while serving in his cabinet.

Now that Trump has rallied in Huntsville AL for Strange, how will this affect the results? Is Moore done as a result of this?

He already is the tallest Senator.  Did Trump forget that Strange is already in the Senate?

(Trivia: Tom McMillen, who served in the House, was even taller, and is one of 3 former pro basketball players to serve in Congress.  Can you name the other two without looking it up?)

I can't find a picture of James Comey and Luther Strange together.

No, I despise both candidates. I feel bad for America having a clown for President.

Bradley is of course correct.  The other one was Morris (Mo) Udall, the long-time Arizona Representative and contender for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1976.  He was a star player for the University of Arizona and played a year of pro ball in the 1940's (even though he had only one eye).

Wasting money on Alabama is criminal...if it were a gubernatorial race fine, but no Dem is getting sent to Congress from this state.

Republican strategists said the same thing about Massachusetts in 2010.

I'm happy Alabama doesn't have an open primary.

It's our best shot at taking back the Senate this cycle.  Not making a serious play here if Moore gets nominated would be political malpractice.  On a different note, Ron Sparks must be kicking himself right now.

Doug Jones is nowhere near as charismatic as Brown.

President Trump everybody. He goes to Alabama to campaign for Strange, says he might regret endorsing him, says he'll campaign like hell for the other guy, says he likes Luther because he always votes the way he wants him to, says he didn't want to eat dinner with Strange's wife, attacks NFL players who kneel during the national anthem, and talks about how big his victory was.

if they want to spend some money sure... just don't nationalize the race and don't hype it. it's almost assuredly going to moore. alabama is not nearly as elastic as mass.

White House officials and McConnell allies are "deeply worried" about Moore winning. They have private polling showing a tightened race, but with Moore still consistently leading.
