Might not be an answerable question, but does low turnout benefit a certain republican/democrat?

Wasn't roy moore getting largest amounts of support the older voters? And don't older voters tend to turn out at highest rates?

Will the results trickle in as slow as last time?

I've been wondering whether, assuming Moore wins tonight, the GOP establishment might try to subtly sabotage him in the general election.  If he wins in December, he'll likely stay in the Senate and be a thorn in their side for years.  But if he loses the general, the seat goes D for probably only one year, and Jones would be replaced by a less crazy Republican than Moore.  Short term loss, long term gain for the GOP.

I don't see that happening

Going forward, us non-alabamans that will be tracking this race need to remember that Roy Moore's views are not extreme within the prism of the alabama electorate.

I am afraid this was released too early. Over the next 3 weeks, many republicans that are appalled at the allegations will find a new reason to vote for moore and he will win by around 7 points.

Once the trump tape was out of the news cycle, it ceased being an issue to a lot of people.
