- In Fort Lauderdale, Labor's Ted Deutch and incumbent Civic Union's Marco Rubio are headed toward a recount
Marco Rubio lives in Ros-Lehtinen's district (Biscayne ITTL)

Yeah, I know. I just couldn't think of any other incumbent, so for this TL, Rubio moves to Ft Lauderdale since Ileana is too popular and entrenched of an incumbent to primary

At least in the UK parliamentary system, residency requirements are nil. I could understand them being retained at the ConCon that implemented the Parliament, but I could also see them being revoked.

Seat by seat. I like the names, clearly a lot of research went into them.

Or he asked for help from people within those states.
She, and I'm thankful for your help. I did most of the states by myself, save for Illinois and Florida.

Sorry on the gender mixup, god I have to remember to refer to people as "they" online.

It's 7:41, and polls have closed in Ohio, North Carolina, and West Virginia. We've got results coming in from West Virginia already, where all incumbents have been reelected.

- In Canaan Valley, Labor's Joe Manchin has been reelected
- In Tygart Valley, Labor's Carte Goodwin has been reelected
- In Monongahela, Labor's Earl Ray Tomblin has been reelected

Currently, the seat standing is:
Labor - 28
Conservative - 26
Civic Union - 8
The Alignment - 6
NPSW - 2
Too Close To Call - 9

There are 362 seats outstanding.

At Alignment Headquarters, Steve Scalise was unhappy - he believed he and his party could pick up a decent amount of seats, at least 60, perhaps - but the night was turning out differently already. And the worst part, he would see his ideological enemy, Barack Obama, expand his majority. The Alignment would effectively have lost its first election - not a good outlook.

We've got results coming in from Ohio just now - all constituencies except Cuyahoga-Ashtabula are ready to report results.

- In Cincinnati, Labor's P. G. Sittenfeld and incumbent Civic Union's Steven Chabot are headed towards a recount
- In Cincinnati-Shawnee, Conservative Brad Wenstrup has been reelected
- In Columbus, Labor's Joyce Beatty has been reelected
- In Firelands, The Alignment's Jim Jordan has unseated incumbent Conservative Matt Huffman
- In Great Black Swamp, Conservative Bob Latta has been reelected
- In Ohio-Appalachia, Labor's Lou Gentile has won the open seat vacated by retiring Labor's Ted Strickland
- In Mohican, Labor's Tom West and incumbent Conservative Bob Gibbs are headed towards a recount
- In Miami Valley, The Alignment's Tricia Boehner and incumbent Conservative Warren Davidson are headed toward a recount
- In Erie, Labor's Nicholas Celebrezze has won the open seat vacated by Labor's Chancellor Marcy Kaptur
- In Dayton, Labor's Nan Whaley and incumbent Civic Union's Mike Turner are headed toward a recount
- In Cleveland, Labor's Marcia Fudge has been reelected
- In Mansfield-Zanesville, Conservative Pat Tiberi and incumbent The Alignment's Jay Hottinger are headed toward a recount
- In Akron East, Labor's Tim Ryan has been reelected
- In Wayne-Zaleski, Conservative Steve Stivers has been reelected
- In Akron West, Labor's Betty Sutton has been reelected

Additionally, we have reports from Florida that Labor's Lois Frankel has unseated Civic Union's Bill Hager in Palm Beach, and that in Fort Lauderdale, Labor's Ted Deutch has unseated Civic Union's Marco Rubio. This increases Labor's total gains tonight to 7 seats.

Currently, the seat standing is:
Labor - 36
Conservative - 29
Civic Union - 8
The Alignment - 7
NPSW - 2
Too Close To Call - 10

TWO MORE SEATS SWITCH HANDS IN VIRGINIACONSERVATIVES SWEEP NORTH CAROLINA
We have reports coming in Ohio, Virginia, and all of the results from North Carolina according to Secretary of State Elaine Marshall. It appears as if Conservatives have swept the state, picking up all but one former Liberal seats.

Additionally, in Virginia:
- Labor's Jennifer Wexton has successfully unseated Civic Union's Barbara Comstock!
- The Christian Democrats' leader, Tim Kaine, has unseated The Alignment's Rob Wittman in Yorktown-Tidewater North!

We've also got results from the outstanding constituency in Ohio:
- In Cuyahoga-Ashtabula, Labor's Sean O'Brien has unseated incumbent Alignment's Dave Joyce!

And now for North Carolina:
- In Piedmont North, Labor's G. K. Butterfield has been reelected
- In Wake Forest-Falls Lake, Conservative George Holding has unseated incumbent The Alignment's Renee Elmers
- In Outer Banks, Conservative Walter Jones Jr has been reelected
- In Raleigh, Labor's David Price has been reelected
- In Pisgah, Conservative Virginia Woolf Foxx, wrong forest creature, has been reelected (Blitzer actually makes this mistake on air)
- In Haw, Conservative Mark Walker has been reelected
- In Wilmington, Conservative David Rouzer has been reelected
- In Uwharrie, Conservative The Honorable Scott Brewer has unseated incumbent Alignment's Richard Hudson
- In Sandhills, Conservative Robert Pittenger has unseated incumbent the Alignment's Sue Myrick
- In Broad River, Conservative Patrick McHenry has been reelected
- In Blue Ridge, Labor's Secondary Minister Heath Shuler has been reelected
- In Charlotte, Labor's Mel Watt has been reelected
- In Piedmont South, Labor's Nancy Vaughan and incumbent Civic Union's Ted Budd are headed towards a recount

At 8:00, polls close in 17 states and the District of Columbia. That's 163 constituencies. Importantly, we will see if Sid Miller's Texan National Party will actually win any seats.

Right now, the seats totals are:

Labor - 42
Conservative - 37
Civic Union - 8
The Alignment - 7
NPSW - 2
Tim Kaine's Christian Democrats - 1
Too Close To Call - 9

LABOR SWEEPS NEW ENGLAND IN SURPRISE LANDSLIDE
We've got results coming in from Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, signaling a massive turnover from former Liberal seats to Labor.

- In Kennebec, Labor's Chellie Pingree has been reelected
- In Aroostook, Labor's Troy Jackson has unseated incumbent Conservative Bruce Poliquin!
- In October Mountain, Labor's Richard Neal has been reelected
- In Worcester, Labor's Jim McGovern has been reelected
- In Merrimack-First Mills, Labor's Niki Tsongas has been reelected
- In Walden, Labor's Joe Kennedy III has been reelected
- In Harvard, Labor's Elizabeth Warren has won the seat vacated by retiring incumbent Labor's Ed Markey
- In Cape Ann, Labor's Seth Moulton has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Richard Tisei !
- In Bunker Hill, Labor's Mike Capuano has been reelected
- In Freedom Trail, Labor's Steven Lynch has been reelected
- In Cape Cod, Labor's Julian Cyr has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Scott Brown!
- In Sakonnet, Labor's David Cicilline has been reelected
- In Narragansett, Labor's James Langevin has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Allan Fung!
- In Hartford, Labor's John Larson has been reelected
- In Old Saybrook, Labor's Cathy Osten has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Joe Courtney!
- In New Haven, Labor's Rosa DeLauro has been reelected
- In Bridgeport, Labor's Bob Duff has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Jim Himes!
- In Housatonic, Labor's Chris Murphy has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Elizabeth Esty!

If it weren't for Sanders' defection to a new party, it would have been the first time in history all of New England was represented by Labor. In total, Labor gained NINE seats in New England, and technically lost one in Sanders. Regardless, this brings Labor's total gained seats to 16.

Right now, the standings are:
Labor - 60
Conservative - 37
Civic Union - 8
The Alignment - 7
NPSW - 2
Tim Kaine's Christian Democrats - 1
Too Close To Call - 9

Does DC elect a full MP, or does it just elect a non-voting delegate like in RL?

A full, voting MP.

For the next Fort Lauderdale election, I recommend Jared Moskowitz as the Civic Union candidate.

Christ, I'm not even halfway done with this election and you're already thinking of the next one?!

FIVE SEATS TOO CLOSE TO CALL IN PENNSYLVANIA, ONE IN DELAWARE

Now, despite Labor's surprisingly good showing in New England, in Southeast Pennsylvania, another important area they need to make progress in, is in contention. Five seats, out of eight reporting so far, are too close to call and demand a recount.

- In Schuylkill, Labor's Kevin Boyle has won the open seat vacated by retiring Labor's Bob Brady
- In First Constitution, Labor's Dwight Evans has won reelection
- In Ontelaunee, Labor's Manan Trivedi and incumbent Civic Union's Ryan Costello are headed towards a recount
- In Brandywine, Labor's Joe Sestak and incumbent Civic Union's Pat Meehan are headed toward a recount
- In Washington Crossing, Labor's Patrick Murphy and the Civic Union's Brian Fitzpatrick are headed toward a recount in an effort to win the seat vacated by retiring Civic Union's Mike Fitzpatrick
- In Philadelphia North, Labor's Brendan Boyle has been reelected - that's right - alongside his brother, Kevin, in Schuylkill
- In Dutch, Civic Union's Lloyd Smucker and incumbent Labor's Rob Teplitz are headed toward a recount
- In Poconos, The Alignment's Dave Argall and incumbent Labor's Matthew Cartwright are headed toward a recount
- In Delaware, incumbent Civic Union's Tom Carper retired, and in the race to fill the open seat vacated by him, Civic Union's F. Gary Simpson and Labor's Bryan Townsend are headed toward a recount

Results from this area could take a few hours to retabulate, which means we might not know who controls Parliament until early next morning.

Labor - 63
Conservative - 37
Civic Union - 8
The Alignment - 7
NPSW - 2
Tim Kaine's Christian Democrats - 1
Too Close To Call - 15

The Labslide keeps chugging on. It's also a good night for the 'Murican Tories as they're filling some of the vacuum left by the collapse of the Liberals.

CONSERVATIVES RETAIN MAJORITY OF SEATS IN SOUTH
We've got results coming in from four southern, or rather, southern in character, states: Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama - we'll be announcing the results in that order as well.

- In Second Constitution, Labor's William Lacy Clay Jr has been reelected
- In Castlewood-Bonhomme, Labor's Mark Osmack has unseated incumbent Civic Union's Ann Wagner! This results would be a surprise to the casual observer, but Wagner's campaign was found to be engaged in a fundraising-money laundering scandal three weeks ago, leading Osmack to brand Wagner as a "mobster."
- In Mark Twain-Missouri River, Conservative Blaine Luetkemeyer has been reelected
- In Osage, Conservative Vicky Hartzler has been reelected, staving off a strong challenge from Labor's Jason Kander
- In Kansas City East, Labor's Emmanuel Cleaver has been reelected
- In Till Plains, Conservative Sam Graves has been reelected
- In Ozarks West, Conservative Billy Long has been reelected
- In St Francois-Ozarks East, incumbent Conservative Jason Smith and former Civic Union representative Jo Ann Emerson are headed toward a recount!
- In Great Smokey Mountains, Conservative Phil Roe has been reelected
- In Holston River, Conservative John Duncan Jr has been reelected
- In Tennesse Valley-Cumberland South, Conservative Chuck Fleischmann has been reelected
- In Chickamuga, Conservative Scott DesJarlais has been reelected
- In Nashville, Labor's Jeff Yarbro and incumbent Civic Union's Beth Harwell are headed toward a recount!
- In Highland Rim, Conservative Diane Black has been reelected
- In Natchez Trace, Conservative Marsha Blackburn has been reelected
- In Hatchie-Obion, The Alignment's Mike Norris and incumbent Conservative David Kustoff are headed toward a recount!
- In Memphis, Labor's Steven Cohen has been reelected
- In Holly Springs, Conservative Trent Kelly has been reelected
- In Mississippi Delta, Labor's Bennie Thompson has been reelected
- In Longleaf, Conservative Gregg Harper has been reelected
- In Pascagoula, Conservative Steven Palazzo has been reelected
- In Mobile Bay, Conservative Bradley Byrne has been reelected
- In Wiregrass, Conservative Martha Roby and incumbent Labor's Bobby Bright are headed toward a recount
- In Tuskegee, Conservative Michael Rogers has been reelected
- In Sipsey, Conservative Robert Aderholt has been reelected
- In Flint River, Conservative Mo Brooks has been reelected

HALF OF MICHIGAN'S SEATS GO TO RECOUNT
There has been a huge swing toward Labor in Michigan, a much larger swing than even in many other states so far. It looks like the night is turning from a good night for Labor to a very very good night, one where they could win an outright majority. Of course, we'll have to wait and see until the rest of the results come in. Right now, by the way, polls have closed in Arkansas and Puerto Rico.

- In Superior, Labor's Scott Dianda and incumbent Conservative Dan Benishek are headed toward a recount!
- In Manistee, Conservative Bill Huizenga has been reelected
- In Grand Rapids, Libertarian Justin Amash has been reelected
- In Au Sable, Conservative Bill Moolenaar has been reelected
- In Saginaw, Labor's Dan Kildee and incumbent Civic Union's Kenneth Horn are headed toward a recount!
- In Kalamazoo, Labor's Jeff Getting and incumbent The Alignment's Fred Upton are headed toward a recount!
- In Pinckeny, Labor's Mark Schrauer and incumbent The Alignment's Tim Walberg are headed toward a recount!
- In Red Cedar, Labor's Gretchen Whitmer and The Alignment's Mike Bishop are headed toward a recount!
- In Detroit North, Labor's Sander Levin has been reelected
- In Huron, Labor's Mark Hackel and incumbent Conservative Candice Miller are headed toward a recount!
- In Detroit West, Labor's Christine Greig and incumbent Civic Union's Dave Trott are headed toward a recount!
- In Ann Arbor, Labor's Debbie Dingell has been reelected
- In Detroit South, Labor's John Conyers has been reelected
- In Detroit Center, Labor's Gary Peters has been reelected

We've also got reports from Louisiana - details are still incoming - about a shooting at a voting location in Baton Rouge. Governor John Bel Edwards has reactivated the State Guard and extended voting hours from 10:00 Central time to midnight. More details will be provided as they come in.

Current seat standing is:
Labor - 90
Conservative - 60
Civic Union - 11
The Alignment - 8
NPSW - 2
Tim Kaine's Christian Democrats - 1
Libertarian - 1

- In Calhoun, Civic Union's Rodney Davis has been reelected
- In Centralia, Conservative John Shimkus has been reelected

- In Panhandle, Texan National Ken King and incumbent Farmer-Populist Amy Brees are headed toward a recount!
- In Llano Estacado, Texan National Jodey Arrington and incumbent Farmer-Populist Daphne Mahon Holt are headed toward a recount!

We've also got more details coming in from the Baton Rouge shooting - the gunman has been identified as Michael Ackman, a 39-year old white male, alleged member of the local KKK chapter,  who attacked a majority-black precinct voting location. Louisiana State Guard have released a state saying they believe it was part of an organized attack by the Bayou Knights of the KKK, and more attacks on voting locations are possible. Police forces and state guard have been deployed to all voting locations in the constituencies of Delta, New Orleans-Baton Rouge, and Pontchartrain-Atchafalaya, the location of the shootings, and to all precincts with 40% or more African American voters in Accadiana, Red-Sabine, and Kisatchie. Voting hours have been extended to midnight.

Current seat standings are

LABOR WINS ALL BUT ONE SEAT IN CHICAGO METRO

- In Chicago Southwest, Labor's Prime Minister Barack Obama has been reelected
- In Willakee, Labor's Robin Kelly has been reelected
- In Chicago West, Labor's Dan Lipinski has unseated Civic Union's Tom Livingston!
- In Chicago Central, Labor's Luis Gutiérez has been reelected
- In Chicago Northwest, Labor's Mike Quigley has been reelected
- In Glen Ellyn, Civic Union's Peter Rocksam has been reelected
- In Chicago East, Labor's Danny K. Davis has been reelected
- In Glendale Heights, Labor's Tammy Duckworth has unseated The Alignment's Joe Walsh!
- In Chicago North, Labor's Jan Schakowsky has been reelected
- In Deerfield, Labor's Brad Schneider has been reelected
- In New Lenox, Labor's Bill Foster has been reelected
- In Crystal Lake, Civic Union's Randy Hultgren has been reelected

Political pundits had predicted that the Civic Union's cosmopolitan platform could retain its Chicago seats and potentially have flipped Deerfield, New Lenox, and even Chicago North. We've got some more results from Arkansas and Texas.

- In Arkansas Lowlands, Labor's Deborah Ferguson has unseated incumbent Conservative Rick Crawford!
- In Little Rock, Labor's Hillary Clinton has been reelected
- In Ozarks South, Conservative Steve Womack has been reelected
- In Ouachita, Conservative Bruce Westermen has been reelected
- In Piney Woods-Sabine, Texan National Matt Schaefer has unseated Conservative Louie Gohmert!
- In Red-Sulphur, Texan National John Ratcliffe has unseated Conservative Ralph Hall!

It looks as if the TNP is finding more success electorally than many pundits predicted. They've managed to unseat a 37-year incumbent in Ralph Hall - if they can repeat this success in other constituencies, they may be headed to 25 seats or even more. We'll have to wait and see.

Current seat standings:

Labor - 103
Conservative - 67
Civic Union - 14
The Alignment - 8
NPSW - 2
Texan National - 2
Tim Kaine's Christian Democrats - 1
Libertarian - 1
Native Interests - 1
Farmer-Populist - 0
