It's like they're trying to appeal to the #NeverTrump demographic that doesn't exist.

Hugh Hewitt is a RINO according to the True Conservatives. Pretty much all the Republicans frequenters they have on MSNBC (Nicolle Wallace, Michael Steele, and annoying Joe Scarborough) are cucks/RINOs by GOP/Trump standards.

MSNBC is welcome to have more conservatives.

I just hate Hugh Hewitt, he's so smug and so wrong.

Agreed, though part of me liked when they were left-wing Fox News just because I had a place to have my biases confirmed. I really don't have a problem with Michael Steele, Nicole Wallace and that other McCain guy.

Back in the day they did have Alan Keyes and Pat Buchanan, so they used to be much more right wing.

MSNBC is the liberal media, not the #NeverTrump media. And as shown by Greta's absymal ratings, the viewers want the network to stay liberal. #NoHewitt

At this rate, the only decent TV opinion programs progressives will have left to lean on are Democracy Now and The Rachel Maddow Show (when she's not harping on about Russia).
Rachel Maddow? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHNHAHJA

I hope you weren't serious.

Morning Joe isn't really conservative, Maxwell. It's just a bunch of insiders mashing each other under the desk while the audience watches in horror as Joe and Mike practically dry hump each other.

Too long a show for one host IMO, unless it was Evening Joe (or worse, "Evening Wine", in which Morning Joe is ran in the evening and the hosts get progressive drunker like Hoda and Kathy Lee do each day).

They definitely should get rid of Chris Hayes. He's basically a complete ripoff of Rachel Maddow, down to the way he dresses. They also ought to get Lawrence O'Donnell on the weekends and let Joy Reid have his timeslot. She's just as liberal, but also more intelligent and less of a turnoff to centrist or conservative viewers. I listen to Maddow and Reid.

MSNBC was and remains trash, like all cable news.
They're not in it for the sake of journalism, they will roll over for higher ratings.

Meanwhile, Fox is the 24/7 Trump channel, and is pretty shameless about it.  Why would MSNBC try to appeal to his base when they already have everything they'd ever want in Fox?

I watched Shep Smith's show (which used to be down the middle) one day last week, and I had to check to make sure I didn't put on MSNBC by mistake because he was criticizing Trump so much.  But, people are habitual creatures, and conservatives aren't likely to turn to MSNBC, even if they hired Bill O'Reilly right now (as evidenced by Greta's ratings).

What conservative shift? Pat Buchanan and Michael Savage used to have their own programs on the network and you folks are worrying about Hugh Hewitt?

I also watched Lawrence O'Donnell one night in February, and he is far more partisan than anyone on FOX, Hannity and Carlson included.  His entire show was about how awful Trump was and there was never a single guest who disagreed with him (FOX at least brings on liberal guests for the hosts to debate).

O'Donnell is terrible, but he does bring on conservative guests quite regularly. It's just that they're usually weaklings he can berate on air like Tucker does.

and he is far more partisan than anyone on FOX,

well, i can't look into the heads of hosts, otherwise i disagree.

especially characters like bolling, hannity, the fox and friends crowd and lou dobbs are partisan on a whole new level, which is not even rooted in conservatism.

otherwise.....msnbc doesn't get many conservatives anyway on their program, cause they don't want to visit, while everyone likes the attention you get at fox. rachel has joked about it for years, how hard she always tries to find conservatives brave enough to visit her.

Which makes the Hugh Hewitt hire even stranger since I can't even imagine an audience for it.
