Paul Ryan should have straight up told the democrats this :

You want planned parenthood funded well then fine agree to 70 billion dollars in cuts to other domestic spending or  dont filibuster tax reform and welfare reform. Also give that deal on live television .

Planned Parenthood is a nonstarter, that's why. They simply don't have any leverage when it comes to this issue.

then the dems will agree to 70 billion dollars in cuts to other domestic spending.

Why on earth would Democrats agree to that?

Cause that deal will be broadcasted on live tv and they should say we have the votes to keep government open , but if dems dont take this deal and filibuster they will shutdown the gov

Huh? But that assumes that the public would support it, otherwise Democrats refusing this deal would just be defending the public's interest, which I'm sure will be the case once Democrats make it known what stands to be lost due to such huge budget cuts. What you're saying isn't new, either. It's not like various Congressmen don't try and make their ultimatums for their support known via the media. It just doesn't work because there is usually no leverage to be had on the part of the people making demands.

I can't help but feel like you're trolling.

i would offer 75 billion dollars to be cut in defense spending as well as 70 billion in domestic spending.

You're like the Republican version of the liberal who thinks everything works like The West Wing.

the whole point is to prove to the American people the Dems wont compromise one bit on spending and tell them if they want to filibuster fine but the American people will know it is their filibuster what shut the government down.

Good God, you really don't know anything do you? Your lack of a strident understanding of how policymaking works is such low-hanging fruit that it makes it hard to read these threads without stopping just to remind you that what you're saying makes literally zero sense.

Why would Democrats ever agree to that huge of a spending cut, and why would you think the public would be angry at them for not doing it? If the GOP was so stubborn in asking for such a huge spending cut all at once and the Democrats said no, all they would need to say on "live tv" is that such a huge spending cut would damage the functions of our government and wouldn't be worth the fight. The GOP did not lose the election for shutting down the government during Obama's term, remember?

Your assumption that the public would just rally behind Trump if the Democrats refused to slash and burn such a huge chunk of our budget demonstrates a real missing link between what you think will happen and what actually happens.

70 billion in spending cuts is not that much percentage wise.  70 billion out of 3.6 trillion is just 1.94 % which isn't that much .
