He wouldn't do especially well in the primary but he'd win it comfortably in the general.

(Assume I'm running as a Sanders-style entryist Democrat)

He'd do fair-to-middling in a Republican primary, poorly in a Democratic primary, and would underperform as a Democrat (but still win) but overperform as a Republican (but still lose) in the general.
