People thought they'd be getting the Andrew Yang that ran for president instead of the Andrew Yang that actually exists. I even thought "hey, this guy sounds serious and his signature issue (UBI) is going to be necessary as automation takes up a lot of jobs in the coming years." Then he ran that absolute dumpster fire of a mayoral campaign and destroyed any possibility of a career in politics he might have had.
