LOL to Nana Konadu-Rawlings, the wife of previous president-dictator Jerry John Rawlings. She scraped up 20000 votes because people felt sorry for her.
The north-vs-south, east-vs-west split of the vote was apparent in this election as previous ones: Akans (Ashantis/Akeyms) of central and southern Ghana voted for their own Akufo Addo while the north and east of Ghana voted for Mahama. But, thankfully, the two main candidates managed to win constituencies in all regions of the country, with the exception of the Upper East region where Akufo-Addo was shut out.
