Endangered Republican Congressman:

Rep. Carlos Curbelo @RepCurbelo  11m11 minutes ago
If recent allegations are true, they mark the beginning of a new and very sad chapter of scandal and controversy in our country.

just remember:

trump has bungled all this stuff in a spectacular way and did many many mistakes a clever autocrat wouldn't do and killed all "talk-away"-strategies himself and still has a good chance to get away.

it is nearly impossible these days to get impeached, imho.

Absolutely sickening. Needs to be impeached and then tried for treason. Need to convince Republicans they still have Pence, and he's there guy. Need to not let them realize he can't win a national election though since he's a zealot.

This just keeps getting better and better.

No, it keeps getting worse and worse. If the allegations are true, it's not something that is "good" regardless of party. It hurts everyone. Watergate hurt everyone and american trust in gov't has not recovered since.

The people you should feel the worst for are the people who voted for trump because they have been economically neglected and thought he was there hope.

Any sort of policy that could help them is probably never going to see the light of day and they will keep on struggling for the foreseeable future. Absolutely no attention is going to be paid to them.

Nixon and Watergate inadvertently helped Reagan usher in a political era based around the notion that government wasn't the solution to our problems, but that it itself was the problem. Many will argue that these forces were already in motion, but Nixon and Watergate definitely helped propel them.

I attempted to ask @SpeakerRyan about the New York Times story in the Capitol. He tapped me on the arm and said hi, and kept walking.

Anyone who was paying attention last year knew what kind of scum Trump was...the rest of the country voted for him.

You literally have to be a moron to offer him your continued support at this point.

I'd rather keep the senile idiot in charge than hand the keys to Pence via impeachment.

I TOLD MY FELLOW REPUBLICANS ABOUT THIS. DAY IN AND DAY OUT. THIS WOULD HAPPEN. Throughout 2016. Did they listen?

Nooooo they did not. We'll see if this gets him impeached. I want to see it before I believe it.
