Run as a center-left candidate who can appeal to suburbanites and appeal to white working class voters. I think if he had campaigned more in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Iowa, Hillary could have won that area.

Choose Kamala Harris or Steve Bullock as his running mates, they are more liberal than Kaine.

However, I don't think he will be the 2020 nominee. He may be a surrogate, but not the nominee.

Didn't he already rule out a run? (Of course, there's still plenty of time for him to change his mind.)

That was Tim Kaine.  Tin Kaine might follow the road to the White House if it's made out of yellow bricks, and will earn him an audience with the wizard who can give him a heart.

Arrange for every other possible candidate to die under mysterious circumstances. It's the only way.

This is a mute topic... He will never get the nominee.  Also- I still think Hillary would be president had she chosen a different VP (despite a flawed campaign).  Kaine is very qualified- but totally and completely does not come across well to the majority of voters-  and certainly lacks the x-factor to win a presidency.

How would Kaine win PA, WI, or MI, but have his home state as a toss up? If Kaine had played well in the Midwest, HRC would be president right now.
