NY1/Baruch College poll of New York City:

http://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/city-poll/2017/05/16/the-city-poll--by-nearly-2-to-1-margin--residents-want-cuomo-to-run-for-white-house.html

In general, do you approve or disapprove of the job Andrew Cuomo is doing as Governor?
Approve       58%
Disapprove   22%
Not sure       19%
Refuse          1%

Would you want to see Governor Cuomo run for President in 2020?
Yes              56%
No               30%
Not sure       14%
Refused        0%

Would you want to see Mayor de Blasio run for President in 2020?
Yes               29%
No                58%
Not sure        13%
Refuse           0%

Would you want to see Senator Gillibrand run for President in 2020?
Yes              24%
No               43%
Not sure        0%
Refused        34%

Not sure why “refused” is so high for Gillibrand while it’s zero for the other two.  I’m assuming that that’s a typo, and that the 34% is actually the “not sure” number.

In any case, Gillibrand’s actual job approval numbers remain strong.  E.g., in this recent Quinnipiac poll, she was at 56% approve, 22% disapprove:

https://poll.qu.edu/new-york-state/release-detail?ReleaseID=2445

and I assume that they’re strong in NYC as well.  But I guess NYC residents think Cuomo is more presidential material.

I'd prefer Gillibrand since she won't be bogged down by corruption charges. Didn't Governor Cuomo create a corruption task force and when it started going after him he then disbanded it?
