They will be organised somewhere close to the November 2018 but electoral campaign is slowly starting to roll out into minds and hearts of politicians so I guess I can start that topic. Or better to say, actually the topic of local elections was started by ruling coalition with their idea of introducing limit of two terms of office for wójt, mayors and presidents of cities. As for today somehow important event is signed cooperation document between Razem party and Greens for joint participation of elections to the city council in Wrocław and joint candidate for president of the city - what might be good sign for their cooperation in other cities (mainly similarly to Wrocław cities councils elections, other thing that beside Warsaw this is Wrocław where they can have good score).

Local elections in Poland are massive combination of elections of:

1)Wójt, mayors and presidents of cities.
2) Voivodship assembly (sejmiki województwa in Polish) members
3) County councils (in cities which are counties itself they are just city councils)
4) Communes councils

The lower administrative level - the less partisan is the politics, as for the communes usually elected officials are not partisan. Polish political parties are not the most populous ones so they just have no people to participate in such local elections. Or just people who participate in elections on the lowest level do not need parties for being elected.
