I think there's a difference between "giving a positive job rating" and approving. Some Republicans could give him a negative job rating but still approve, for example. But I could see a violent swing against Trump in Michigan  (and the upper midwest in general).

I've noticed that a lot of national pollsters seem to agree that his approval is around 36-39% but seem to disagree on disapproval.

Wasn't there a poster here that said Trump's low approval was because of California, New York and Illinois?

There's also going to be another shut down scare in September, so that will take a lot of energy. I doubt there will be any movement on health care afterwards with the midterms looming.

He's done. Republicans better pray for no recession within the next three and a half years or they'll get absolutely blown away.

Is it bad that I'm questioning to myself whether or not the man would even win this borough again?

Depends on the opponent.

Four polls with approvals in the 30s and three of them with disapprovals in the 60s. Stick a fork in him. I'm a little worried that he'll be even more rash now because he has nothing to lose and/or wants to fix his image.

You said you didn't care that 50,000 more feminists are mad in New York/San Francisco/Manchester because they don't matter.

That 14% of the demographic who somewhat approve of Trump & that 50% support coming from WWC is going to tumble when the economy goes south. That is the only thing keeping Trump afloat.

I don't consider a -20% or so net approval rating "afloat".

After Trump's response to Charlottesville, I predict that he'll go below 35% in Gallup sometime in the coming week.

Maybe for a day or two, then a small rebound. But Ernest is right when he says it'll further cement his disapprovals. Which are already horrible.

I wish California secession would gain more traction. When will Californians realize the rest of the country hates them and they have no real representation.

Go outside sometime.

Honestly I don't get it. It's like he saw that Trump's approval is in the gutter in California and got mad at the state. Not that he was all there before, but 2016 sure broke Beet.

Fycking California.

Wow. Trumps collapse in the Midwest is stunning. It appears they may be snapping back to something closer to their 2012 pvi than 2016.

It's looking like it's in between 2012 and 2008. With economic downturn, I could see it reach 2008 levels.

For you they will be bad but for true Americans they will not be. 8 years of a weak corrupt and parasitic government, now it's your turn to cry like us.

The rats are fleeing the sinking ship and voting out Republicans in New Hampshire and Oklahoma. Smiley
