Democratic Party presidential primaries, 1972 onward
1972: Hubert Humphrey
1976: Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson [1]
1980: Edward M. "Teddy" Kennedy [2]
1984: Walter Mondale [3]
1988: Richard A. "Dick" Gephardt [4]
1992: Tom Harkin [5]
1996: William J. "Bill" Clinton [6]
2000: William J. "Bill" Bradley [7]
2004: Richard A. "Dick Gephardt  [8]
2008: John Edwards [9]
2012: Barack Obama

Bold indicates an actual vote that I have cast.

Notes:

[1] Would have probably initially supported Walter Mondale before he dropped out early on, and then moved on to Scoop Jackson. After Jackson dropped out of the race, I'd be on board with the 'Anybody-But-Carter' forces and support a draft of Hubert Humphrey, Ed Muskie, or Teddy Kennedy (or Mondale and Jackson) at the Convention. Still would have voted Carter in the general, though.

[2] Enthusiastic support for Kennedy, particularly because at this point Carter is unelectable and ineffectual. Still would go for Carter in the general though.

[3] Mondale leaves the least bad taste in my mouth out of all the candidates. Would have at least considered voting for John Glenn, though.

[4] Another 'least bad of a bad field' choice.

[5] After Harkin, I'd probably support Clinton, because Jerry Brown is to Clinton's right on fiscal policy.

[6] No choice here, but I would have supported a liberal challenge to Clinton.

[7] No real love for Bradley, but he's to the left of Gore.

[8] After Gephardt dropped out, I would have supported John Edwards.

[9] Actually did support Edwards at first because he was to the left of Clinton and Obama. After he dropped out, I supported Clinton before settling on Obama. In retrospect, I should have supported Clinton, but she was too DLC for me in 2008 until after Edwards dropped out and she moved to the left to get Edwards' voters (like me).

For the Democratic primaries, I'll start with 1952, since I would've joined the party at around that time.

1952–Estes Kefauver
1956–Estes Kefauver
1960–Hubert Humphrey, then Wayne Morse when he entered.  After they'd both pulled out, I guess JFK.
1964–LBJ.
1968–Eugene McCarthy until RFK entered.  After he got shot, I'd have gone back to McCarthy.
1972–George McGovern
1976–First Morris Udall, then Frank Church once he entered.
1980–Ted Kennedy
1984–First Jesse Jackson, but I would've abandoned him for Mondale after his anti-Semitic remarks came out
1988–Err...Dukakis I guess.  Couldn't vote for Jackson for the same reasons as 1984.
1992–Tom Harkin, quite reluctantly since he's an Israeli tool.  No one after he dropped out.
1996–Would not vote
2000–Bill Bradley (again, reluctantly)
2004–Dennis Kucinich
2008–Dennis Kucinich again (not with hindsight cause of the Gadaffi stuff) then Edwards after he dropped out (not with hindsight), then Obama (would have spoiled my ballot with hindsight)

Am I the only person who would have voted Republican in every election since the party was founded?

It takes a special kind of person to approach that level of partisan hackery, yes.

Why Debs,Thomas,Thurmond,Baldwin?.
[/quote]

Debs' overt socialism was preferable to the corporatist "Progressivism" of his opponents. Thomas was the only choice opposed to interventionism. Thurmond is a protest vote against the welfare statism and interventionism of his opponents. Baldwin is less nausea-inducing than Barr.

Looks like you're mainly in the Hamiltonian tradition.  What appeals to you about AuH2O over LBJ?

I probably would have supported Nelson Rockefeller in the 1964 primaries, but I would have backed Goldwater once he got the Republican nomination because he was the party's nominee and I would have felt that we needed to unite behind him.  He may have opposed the 1964 CRA, but it was on constitutional grounds (phony constitutional grounds, may I add, because of the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.)  He was a founding member of the NAACP in Arizona and was instrumental in making his family's business one of the first in the state to desegregate.  He also supported the 1957 and 1960 CRAs.  Johnson, ironically, tried to portray Goldwater as a racist for his vote, but Goldwater's overall civil rights record was much better than that of the racist and political opportunist Johnson.
