Jfern, if you actually cared about this issue whatsoever, you'd be working against Trump rather than going "B-b-b-but Trudeau!"

Trudeau hasn't done anything about Climate change other than looking good

I still don't get how Trudeau is at all relevant to a thread about Trump's decision.

It is not.

Jfern is just a troll.

Someone getting us 30% of the way to 1.5 degrees is certainly relevant to any talk about climate change.

Looks like my statement has become true, Jerry Brown is going to China to talk about climate change.

trump is doing a good job in destroying our place and name around the world.
The Russians are the one's laughing at us. trump is doing everything they ever dreamed could happen.
Makes you think twice about the possible connection between the orange-haired clown and Putin.

Why would Russia laugh at us for leaving an agreement that they didn't leave? Not that I would expect Putin to be that great on climate change either.

Anything that trump does that separates the United States from working with other countries (regardless if Russia is or is not part of such agreements) is something the Russians would love and would laugh at us about.
Destroying our "bond" with our Allies (and the world) in any agreement, destroys the general relationship with such nations, and thus erodes overall trust in all other working aspects between such parties (NATO, trade agreements, UN related matters, etc, etc).

Because America is now viewed as fringe by most of the world an the trust we once had by the West has been eroded

I like how Trump supporters are actively cheering the destruction of the planet because it triggers libtards or something.

I'm talking about climate change, which wasn't such a big deal then. Pre-industrial age CO2 PPM were 280. In 1917, they were 302. Today they're 405.

Gee, if only he had been like Justin Trudeau and pretending to give a rats ass about climate change while ensuring we don't meet the goal.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/apr/17/stop-swooning-justin-trudeau-man-disaster-planet

Do you actually care about this at all, or are you just using it as a tool against moderates?

Of course we need someone who does more than pretend to give a rats ass about climate change you fool.,

You troll more than Krazen

No, I'm serious, we need politicians who do more than give climate change lip service if we don't want to get totally screwed by climate change. This isn't a game, this is about getting rid of the terrible politicians we have.

Yet you seem hellbent on destroying the Democratic Party which seems kind of counterintuitive to the goals you claim to have

The funny thing is I didn't even mention anything about the Democratic party, just a Canadian Liberal party politician. But any party that isn't committed to saving the earth should crash and burn.

That's the thing. Nothing is ever pure enough for you, and you're no different (possibly more extreme) than those Tea Partiers in 2010 who merely handed off free Senate seats to Democrats in Nevada, Colorado, Delaware, and several House seats merely because they put "principles" ahead of pragmatism, leading to the result of getting people less sympathetic to their cause elected instead. So please spare us your progressive bonafides

I am sorry that's just garbage. Trudeau is incredibly mediocre on climate change, may even poor by world standards. Criticizing him is pretty rational, I chucked when I saw Justin talk tough. This is like say Duterte is all nice or so is Pinocchio in terms of human rights because compared to Hitler they are all better.

Please stop making juvenile posts. If you are an adult, then you should be able to criticize people legitimately & not do pure Trump-esque partisan hackery !

Trump gets world-wide condemnation from world leaders in a remarkable show of unity

“We deem the momentum generated in Paris in December 2015 irreversible and we firmly believe that the Paris Agreement cannot be renegotiated, since it is a vital instrument for our planet, societies and economies,” said chancellor Angela Merkel, president Emmanuel Macron and prime minister Paolo Gentiloni. The three leaders called on their allies to speed up efforts to combat climate change and a promise to do more to help developing countries adapt.

“I tell you firmly tonight: We will not renegotiate a less ambitious accord. There is no way,” said Macron. “Don’t be mistaken on climate; there is no plan B because there is no planet B.” The Vatican said a US pullout represented a “huge slap in the face” for the pope and a “disaster for everyone”. Japan’s foreign ministry said: “Climate change requires a concerted effort by the whole of the international community. Japan believes the leadership of the developed countries to be of great importance, and the steady implementation of the Paris agreement is critical in this regard. The recent announcement by the US administration on its withdrawal … is regrettable.”

Russia's official comment could not be made out over the echoing sound of Putin's laughter filling the halls of the Kremlin.

I really hope that the other countries materially punish the US for this: China and the EU levying carbon taxes on US-made, -grown, -transported products; international manufacturers like Toyota and Volkswagen closing plants and moving production out of the US; multinational corporations with offices in the US, but particularly those in cities of the Trump voting states (Atlanta, Houston, Dallas) moving their offices to Toronto or Monterrey. If those tactics don't work by the midterms, then China and the EU states should call in their US treasury debts. Oh, and they shouldn't lift a finger working with the US about any nonsense about "Islamic terrorism" (in fact, that can be tactic No. 1) because far more people are killed by pollution and rising temperatures than by "terrorism". In essence, make the losses in jobs and tax revenue so severe that no amount of Trump pandering/subsidization of a handful of US fossil fuel companies can make up the difference. The civilized world needs to teach ignorant self-indulgent American pigs a hard lesson.

Everybody should work on terrorism & other avenues. That should never be a bargaining chip. There's nothing more precious than human lives & every child deserves to sleep not worrying about being blown off at night.

Having said, if EU, China & other countries slap a tariff on US (for the cost of climate change), that would be justified. I don't think any country can say it is not just. This is why Nicaragua didn't sign btw, because there are no penal actions which should be IMO. Any country leaving should be slapped with a tax/tariff (they have similar thing in EU). That is the worst part of the deal Paris deal, apart from weak, insufficient targets, the whole thing if voluntary & there are no penalties !

What's Kimberly Guilfoyle's qualification to discuss climate change with the president? Not her striking scientific expertise. It's the fact that she agrees with him. Donald Trump doesn't want expertise, he wants affirmation.
