Me: Econ L/R -3.13; Social Authoritarian/Libertarian -4.0

Both scales are -10 (left/libertarian) to +10 (right/authoritarian)

I've taken this before, but it has been many years.  This one put me on the left.  Maybe I had a bad day or something:

Economic Left/Right: -2.0

It also put me on a more authoritarian part than I recalled having scored before:

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.69

I think in the past I was closer to the middle on the left/right scale, and way out there on the liberty/authority scale, like around -6 or something.

There is one question that I have never understood:  "When you are troubled, it's better not to think about it, but to keep busy with more cheerful things."  Well, I understand the question, but I have never understood how it might relate to the left/right characterization or the liberty/authority characterization.  In any case, today I voted "agree"  At the moment I think it's probably better to change the subject in my mind than to stay awake all night fretting over what happens at work.

People know how biased the creators made this to be, as a libertarian recruiting tool, right?

Anyways,

Economic Left/Right: -7.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.13

You are thinking of the Nolan chart.  The creator of this test is a Lefty who wants me to believe that I'd be a Jill Stein/Benoît Hamon voter.

I actually took it just the other day. Got something like -8.0 on the economic scale and -7.9 on the social scale.

Well, it's been a while since I've taken this, let's see:

So I'm most similar to Jill Stein? Seems legit.

I've never been a fan of how this test pushes people to the left:

Economic 5.5
Social -7.49

I think the questions are too focused on large corporations which usually enjoy corporate welfare benefits from the state. That's why I didn't score so high in Econ

I agree it's a flawed test, and since I have a big distrust of corporations I scored more left than I do on the matrix or the GoToQuiz spectrum test. It's good for measure of social issues but not as much economic ones.
