And to clear up on the confusion regarding Saudi Arabia... according to this German article I've found, the TV network which produced and aired this show (MBC) is actually located in the United Arab Emirates, but has a Saudi businessman as CEO. So, the Saudi government itself doesn't have anything to do with it directly.

Looking MBC up on Wikipedia, the main owners of the network are named as Waleed bin Ibrahim Al Ibrahim and Abdul Aziz bin Fahd, the latter of which is in fact the youngest son of the late King Fahd.
