https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/22/world/europe/uk-grenfell-tower-london-fire.html

Seven more towers have been shown as having structures similar to Grenfell Tower.

This could be a huge problem for May, and for Sadiq Khan.

I think you'll find that rather more than seven tower blocks in London are the productions of 1960s/70s system building...

The story is that X number of tower blocks have recently been fitted with similar exterior cladding to Grenfell Tower; not the same thing as structure...

How the Hell would it be a problem for Khan?

He's Mayor of London, rightly or wrongly voters might blame him too.

So if Garnier is forced to resign, could Labour pick up the seat in a by-election (or for that matter, any other party, like UKIP or the Liberal Democrats)? And how badly will this hurt Prime Minister May?

For our British posters here, what do you think the chances are of the Tories staying in power until 2022?  Also I know polls are just a snapshot but do any realistically think Labour can win a majority or would it just be plurality and they have to turn to other parties to prop them up?

I bet May steps down, before a no-confidence vote happens.

Hmm, I'm not sure this is worth quitting over, especially from the House of Lords...

You know, if you want to get a server suspended for abuse, there's a safer way of doing that than framing them for bombing schools.

This doesn't hurt Labor's chances of taking back Parliament down the road, does it?

How does Jeremy Corbyn compare to Neil Kinnock?

Factionally unaligned, personally dissimilar, etc.

No correlation other than the probable outcome of Corbyn leading Labour into a second general election, though hopefully Our Timeline writer throws us a bone and actually lets him achieve government!

Honestly, after this, if you include May's unpopularity, I think if there was another Parliamentary Election in the next four months, there would be another hung Parliament, only this time Corbyn would have the task of trying to form a coalition first because Labor would have the most seats.

As if Theresa May, didn't have enough to deal with already, without a potential foreign policy crisis outside of Europe.

Here's an image of what's supposed to be a stamp featuring a Royal Navy ship, with British troops landing in Normandy. Can you tell me what is wrong with the proposed stamp?
